After taking a long break from television we saw Karan Patel coming back to television through the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa : Dancing with the Stars which aired on Colors. Karan is the main lead in Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms upcoming daily soap Ye Hain Mohabattein which will air on Star Plus.
We
got in a conversation with the actor to know on why he took so long to
take up a daily soap and he quipped, "Honestly, I like to create that gap
between the audience and me. Too much of one person seen on-screen also
makes the audience bored, so it is better to give them that required
break from you."
As
we know that after doing the reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, he bagged a role in the
show Ye Hain Mohabattein. On the same we quizzed him with the question
that does he feel that Jhalak Dikhla Jaa has boosted his career and this is what he has to say, "Yes, its true that Jhalak
Dikhla Jaa definitely brings you into the eyes of people, but it is not necessary
at the same time that it can boost your career."
Furthermore
he elaborated saying, "If only Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Bigg Boss and other
reality shows could boost careers then today Rahul Roy would be Shah
Rukh Khan."
"Yes, they play an integral part in one's
career but they don't boost anybody's career, I believe in destiny very
much. For an example - Cezzane Khan was not destined to do this show, so
he is not a part of it. I was destined to do this show so I am a part
of this show," he concluded.
