"I want to play a romantic character if given a chance." - Parichay Sharma

Parichay sharma rose to fame with the reality series, Splitsvilla 6 on MTV India. After a long struggle post the reality show, the actor finally bagged the role of Aabhas in Zee TV's Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya followed by the youth based show Sadda Haq (Channel V).

Currently as he entertains the audience with his mesmerizing looks on Balika Vadhu (Colors), let's take a look on the struggles he faced and his journey in the industry.

I agree MTV and Channel V cater to different genres compared to family oriented shows. I have enjoyed each show and I have worked hard to bag it. While youth based shows have given me visibility and helped me establish a good connect with the youth, family shows not have huge audience base from each walk of life and have addicted audience. I do not mind being a part of any genre or show but I cannot do cliched shows. 

Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya memories will stay with me forever. This was my first family show and the lovely cast and crew I worked with made it very special and extremely enjoyable. I share great bond with Wasim Mustaq and Rajeev Singh, infact we catch up regularly. Kanchi is like a little sister and I share good connect with her

I went through normal rounds of auditions for the role and I must say that the auditions were tough to crack as the role was very demanding and totally different character from what I have ever played. This was right out of my comfort zone. Generally, such characters are hard to find on television so I had to adapt to the new body language which came through with me living the character to an extent.

I am hopeful to play a lead role soon, to get more screen space to display my talent. Each show has got me a good recognition and I am thankful to the support I have received and would like to tell the viewers. I would just like to say that the best is yet to come!
