"I also want to know why the A-lister male actors are silent" - Taapsee Pannu

The entire country was in for a surprise when social media started trending a speech from actor and Parliament member Jaya Bachchan. She went on to talk about the entertainment industry is being targeted where it is the same industry that always adheres to doing good when needed. There were several things that were highlighted in her entire speech. This had multiple actors from the fraternity coming in and not just applauding her take but also mentioning how this was much needed to be spoken out. Actor Taapsee Pannu recently sat down for an interview with India Today, where while she was talking about this speech from Bachchan, she was asked about how and why does she feel are the male actors, the big A-listers from the movies all silent about everything that has been going on.

To this, she said, "I honestly have been myself trying to understand and help unearth this truth. I also want to know why are the male actors silent. I feel industry lacks that collective unity where we say we keep the industry first and grudges different." Further when she was asked that if she feels that the industry is in a divide because of this, where she said, "I wouldn't however call it divide as a large part of the industry still values it."

Finally, when she was asked that ill she continue speaking her mind even amidst all this, she said, "I have continued and will continue to keep speaking from mind. The hate messages do not bother me, I have been getting them for years now. I am not scared at all but I know my loved ones, probably my Dad out there who believes I shouldn't get the hate."
