Hrithik Roshan's Supercharged 2025: 'War 2' Wrap-Up Followed by 'Krrish 4' Shoot. Here is what we know

Hrithik Roshan is set for a blockbuster 2025, with two of his highly anticipated projects gearing up for significant milestones. While the actor is currently busy filming War 2, the sequel to the 2019 action-thriller War, he is also prepping for the much-awaited Krrish 4, slated to commence shooting in the summer of 2025.

According to a report by Midday, War 2, helmed by Ayan Mukerji, is scheduled to wrap production by April 2025. A source revealed, “The April schedule will be wholly dedicated to the fights and stunts, after which it will be a wrap on the spy thriller.” The sequel, part of YRF's Spy Universe, stars Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR alongside Hrithik Roshan, who reprises his role as Kabir.

Following the wrap-up of War 2, Hrithik will begin work on Krrish 4 with Agneepath director Karan Malhotra. A source shared with the publication, “They will take the project on floors in summer 2025, with schedules in Mumbai and parts of Europe.” The script for the superhero film has reportedly been in development for several years.

Earlier in 2024, Hrithik’s father, Rakesh Roshan, provided an update on Krrish 4. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the veteran filmmaker confirmed his retirement from directing, stating, “I don't think I'll be directing any further.” However, he assured fans that the production of Krrish 4 was underway and would be officially announced soon.

The Krrish franchise, which began with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003, has been a cornerstone of Indian superhero cinema. While Rakesh Roshan directed the previous three installments, he will serve as a producer for the upcoming film.

Meanwhile, War 2 is shaping up to be an action extravaganza, with Mukerji reportedly aiming to top the stunts of the original. The film, set for a 2025 release, will also see Hrithik’s Kabir making a special appearance in the Spy Universe’s crossover movie Alpha.
