FIRST LOOK: Janhvi Kapoor as India's first Female Combat Gunjan Saxena

First LOOK of Janhvi Kapoor from the Gunjan Saxena's Biopic is out. Check out the PIC...

Sridevi's daughter Janhavi Kapoor who made her Bollywood debut this year with 'Dhadak' has already made into the list of famous B-town actresses. We thought her next would be Karan Johar's Takht where she plays a key role but it seems the lady kickstarted the Gunjan Saxena biopic instead.

She plays India's first female combat aviator who was posted in Kargil during the 1999 war. Recently, she was spotted at a studio in full getup, ready to make her flight to triumph. Janhvi looked quite neat, we have to agree.

A source had informed Mumbai Mirror earlier, "Janhvi will start prep in the next few days with basic flying lessons and sessions on how the Indian Air Force works and lives. She spent time with Gunjan a few months ago and will be meeting her again to understand her story better."

Gunjan had put her life on the line to rescue injured soldiers and bring them to safety. She and her fellow lieutenant Srividya Rajan had to even ward off enemy fires to do their duty. Gunjan was awarded the Shaurya Vir and became the first woman to receive the honour.

The film was expected to hit the floor next year but it seems Janhvi wanted to start it sooner.
