Bollywood has recently celebrated a plethora of blockbuster films with the audience becoming more appreciative of good scripts and talented actors. It has turned out to be a golden time for Cinema with the release of films like Uri-The Surgical Strike, Andhadhun, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, Badhaai Ho, Sonchiriya, Masaan, Article 15 to name a few. To top the triumphs, the two underdogs Vicky Kaushal and Ayushmann Khurrana won the Best Actor for Uri and Andhadhun respectively. But, are the actors using this popularity to their benefit?
Ayushmann has been raging on success with back to back mega-hits like Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, and the most recent Article 15. With proving his mettle with every film, the actor has proved to be a bankable actor and a treasured talent of the tinseltown. However, the reports are abuzz that the actor has hiked his prices and now charges double the amount for AD shoots.
The Vicky Donor actor recently shot for a TV commercial as the ambassador of a security solutions brand. The actor would earlier charge anything between Rs 90 lakhs to Rs 1 crore for an advertisement. However, the case is not the same for his new shoot and his recent advertisement fees will blow your mind!
Ayushmann's team was not ready to settle anything below a whopping amount of Rs 3.5 crores for his association with the brand name, reported Mid Day. The home brand agreed for the deal and wrote him a cheque with the quoted price. He shot the commercial at a bungalow in Malabar Hills, added the report.
With the price hike for the commercial, it would be no surprise if Ayushmann boosts his fees for further films as well!
Meanwhile, the actor will be seen opposite Nusrat Barucha in Dream Girl. Ayushmann will be seen portraying a guy who plays the role of Sita in Ramlila and can talk in different voices of women. The trailer of Dream Girl, which was recently released, saw Ayushmann donning sari, playing Sita at a Ramlila. Dream Girl is set to be released on September 13, 2019.
