Dream run for 'Anjathe' at Tamil box office

Chennai, April 2 (IANS) No film has usurped director Mysskin's 'Anjathe' from its top position yet. Only in summer will you see movies that can make a difference. The top five Tamil films are:

1. 'Anjathe' - Director: Mysskin. This bold attempt has met with acceptance. Helping him immensely are actors Narain and Prasanna with their performances.

2. 'Vellithirai' - Director: Viji. When the 'Mozhi' team came together again in the remake of hit Malayalam film 'Udayananu Tharam', people expected a lot but it doesn't have the humour or the strength of the original.

3. 'Sandai' - Director: Shakthi Chidambaram. Actor Sundar C. is turning out to be a safe bet at the box office. The scenes between Nadia Moidu and Sundar are the film's highlights.

4. 'Kannum Kannum' - Director: Marimuthu. This is a beautifully crafted love story. Favourable reviews are helping the film. This is Prasanna's third hit.

5. 'Sadhu Miranda' - Director: Siddique. Malayalam director Siddique's Tamil film is a success because of the way the story is treated. The film has Prasanna and Kavya Madhavan in the lead.
