Jacqueline Fernandez seeks Salman Khan's help to bag the role of the leading lady in the sequel of Kick: Reveals a Source

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez

In Bollywood, nothing works out without recommendations, one needs to maintain good relationships to survive in this industry and actress Jacqueline Fernandes is doing the same. If the recent reports by Deccan Chronicle are true, Jacqueline used her close friend, Salman Khan's help to reach out to the director, Sajid Nadiadwala for the sequel of 2014 film Kick.

Earlier, Sajid was keen to rope in Miss World Manushi Chhillar for the sequel but now Jacqueline has replaced her. "She made sure she got Kick 2, no matter how. Jacqueline recommended herself to Nadiadwala through Salman Khan. She just wouldn’t take a rebuff in her stride. As far as Jacqueline was concerned, her name was engraved on the heroine’s role in Kick 2. The idea of any other heroine in Kick 2 was kicked out,” says a source close to the development," a source close to the film said.

For the unaware, Kick was the official remake of a 2009 Telugu film of the same name. Its screenplay was adapted for Hindi film audiences by Sajid Nadiadwala. Apart from Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandes, the movie had a big cast, including names like Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mithun Chakraborty and others.
