Bigg Boss 19: What to expect from contestant nominations, evictions, and surprise format changes

Salman Khan is gearing up for yet another season as the host of Bigg Boss, with Season 19 of the reality show set to launch soon. According to sources, promo shoots are expected to begin in July, and the makers are targeting an August premiere.

A recent update from insider handle Bigg Boss Tak confirmed that Bigg Boss 19 will start in August. The tweet added, “Bigg Boss to start from August is CONFIRMED. While the makers have decided this time to start with the TV version for 3.5 months, and then the OTT version to run later on. Theme for Bigg Boss 19: REWIND. Secret Room to be back, Audience to nominate the contestants, and then contestants to play an important role in the eviction.”

The season’s theme, Rewind, suggests that older formats and twists could be making a comeback. The re-introduction of the Secret Room and a shift in nomination power to the audience are some of the key format changes expected this year.

Names of potential contestants are already circulating online. Celebrities such as Faisal Shaikh (Mr. Faisu), Daisy Shah, Tanushree Dutta, Khushi Dubey, Vikram Singh Chauhan, Ram Kapoor, Sharad Malhotra, Raj Kundra, Gaurav Taneja, Paras Kalnawat, and Shashank Vyas are reportedly in talks. However, the final lineup is still under wraps. The makers had earlier faced internal disagreements, particularly between Banijay Asia (Endemol Shine India) and Colors TV, sparking rumours about the show’s future. But with production preparations now in motion, those concerns appear to have settled.

An insider told Pinkvilla that Salman Khan would shoot for the promos by the end of July, indicating that the production schedule is firmly in place. Though no official statement has been released yet, fans are already gearing up for the new season. With expectations running high and the Rewind theme adding a nostalgic touch, Bigg Boss 19 might bring a fresh yet familiar mix of drama and entertainment to Indian screens.
