Dhurandhar First Look: R Madhavan playing Ajit Doval in Ranveer Singh's film? Is this the real story

Dhurandhar’s teaser has got a fantastic response from one and all. The makers are getting appreciation for bringing together a great ensemble cast. Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna and R Madhavan are part of the movie. Dhurandhar’s first look also has people intrigued about the backstory. The casting of R Madhavan has been praised as Ajit Doval. As we know, Doval is the National Security Advisor of India since 2014. Born in Garhwal, he began his career as an IPS officer. In 1988, he was known for his work in Operation Bluestar. He infiltrated the Golden Temple of Amritsar and provided information on the Khalistani terrorists.

It seems the movie is inspired by the exploits of Major Mohit Sharma. In 2005, he had entered Pakistan and befriended terrorists as part of a covert operation. Mohit Sharma neutralized two of them. He passed away in 2009 in an operation with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. It is possible that Ranveer Singh is playing a character inspired by him. As per reports, the name given to Mohit Sharma was Iftikhar Bhatt. Ranveer Singh stayed away from social media as part of his prep for Dhurandhar. His past few films did not click at the box office.

Dhurandhar is coming to the theatres on December 5, 2025. Prabhas’ The Raja Saab is also releasing on the same date. Ranveer Singh looks in deadly form in Dhurandhar. Aditya Dhar is the director of the movie. Sara Arjun is the female lead of the movie.
