The 89-year-old actor, who was admitted on October 31 following breathing difficulties, was discharged early Wednesday morning. His family, overwhelmed by the flurry of false reports around his health, has now issued an official statement to clear the air.

“Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request everyone to avoid speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. He deeply values all the love and prayers sent his way.”

Doctor Confirms Safe Discharge

Soon after his discharge, a short video of the actor being brought home in an ambulance started circulating online, drawing both relief and curiosity among fans.

Adding to the family’s reassurance, Dr. Pratit Samdani from Breach Candy Hospital also confirmed that Dharmendra was discharged at 7:30 a.m. “He will be treated at home as per the family’s decision,” Dr. Samdani told PTI. The update helped put an end to the speculation that had flooded social media over the last week.

Rumours about the actor’s health began circulating on November 1 and reignited on November 10, falsely claiming that the veteran star had passed away. The situation quickly spiralled, forcing Dharmendra’s wife, Hema Malini, and daughter, Esha Deol, to issue strong public clarifications. Both urged the media to act responsibly and condemned the spread of misinformation during such sensitive times.
