Dharmendra DISCHARGED from hospital as family decides for home treatment: Doctor from Breach Candy hospital

Veteran Hindi film actor Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital, and his family has decided to continue his care at home.

"Dharmendra ji has been discharged from the hospital at 7 am. His treatment will continue at home," Dr. Pratit Samdani from Breach Candy confirmed as per PTI.

Hema Malini and Esha Deol on Dharmendra’s health

On Tuesday, his family members, Esha Deol and Hema Malini, reported that he is "recovering and stable."

In a post on Instagram Esha Deol wrote, "The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery."

In another post on X, Hema Malini wrote, "What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy."

Dharmendra’s health concerns

The 89-year-old actor has been admitted to and discharged from south Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital multiple times over the past few days.

Amidst circulating rumors about his health on social media and other platforms, an industry insider has stated that Dharmendra's condition remains serious.

Sunny Deol’s statement

Dharmendra has been receiving medical care at South Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital recently, with his health being a subject of media reports. On Monday, representatives for his son, actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol, refuted rumors suggesting that the "Sholay" star was on ventilator support.

"Mr Dharmendra is stable and under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as available. Kindly don't indulge in spreading false rumours regarding his health. Request everyone to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family's right to privacy,” the PR representative said.

Actors pay visits

Last week, he was admitted to the same hospital for routine check-ups. During his stay, he received visits from his wife, Hema Malini, his son Sunny Deol, and other family members. Additionally, actors Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan also visited to check on him.

Dharmendra's family, including Esha Deol, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Hema Malini, along with actors Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Govinda, were seen at the hospital. Additionally, many of his acquaintances, such as actor Hina Khan, shared memories on social media. Hina posted a screenshot from a video call with Mr. Dharmendra, with the caption "Dharam Ji."
