Dev Joshi, popularly known for his stint in Sony SAB's Balveer has recently made a comeback with another sequel of the show. Dev, who rose to fame with the show answers if he has ever felt desire to take up another character or if he is content playing Balveer. He also speaks about the sequel, the new storyline and a lot more. Read ahead to for all the details.

Congratulations on the new season of Balveer. Tell us, how excited are you about the same?

I am very excited because Baalveer season 5 is going to be very different from the previous seasons we have shot. We have new storylines, new characters coming up and somewhere Baalveer is going to fight against himself in the course of storyline. So, it's going to be exciting. It has been exciting for me as an actor and I'm sure audience is going to enjoy the season 5 too.

The show has been streaming for years and has been a popular one. With the upcoming season, what different will the viewers get to witness?

Viewers will experience a fresh approach this time. In the earlier seasons of Baalveer, we saw many new villains, each one unique in their own way. Our creative team and channel have developed some really strong storylines. But in Season 5, we explored the inner world of Baalveer. Every person has two sides; one good and one bad — that influence their decisions. In such a situation, when Baalveer gets trapped within himself, the story focuses on how he confronts his own dark side; whether he defeats it or gets consumed by it. This time, Baalveer’s fight is with himself, and it’s something that will resonate with everyone. Every time we make a decision, both good and bad forces try to influence us. But how we steer ourselves toward honesty and goodness, how we choose to become better people, that’s the journey Baalveer embarks on in this new season.

While we all love the show very much, do you as an actor ever wish to do something new apart from the show or are you content?

As an actor, Baalveer has always provided me with numerous new experiences and scenes, and I've always loved exploring the character of Baalveer. When I started in 2012, Baalveer's character was quite new and explored the idea that a child with powers is here to help people. But as I began portraying that character, I discovered it has layers of acting and emotion; an endless sea of possibilities.? In Season 5, it's reaching a whole new level because, for the first time, I'm playing both a positive and a negative character simultaneously. It's going to be exciting, and as an actor, I've learned a lot. I'm sure the audience will love it.

Having said that, is there any show on Television currently that you would want to be a part of?

Every show is nice. Every show brings happiness to its viewer and inspires them in its own way. Par abtak ke itihas mein Balveer jaisa show toh raha hi nahi hai kabhi, so I am glad ke Balveer jaise show ka main part hoon. Ek aisa kirdar jo logo tak positivity pohchata hai, unhe kahi na kahi ek achi life jeene ke liye inspire karta hai. Sirf bachho ko hi nahi, balki puri family ek sath beth ke dekh sake, ek aisa show hum ne banaya hai. So I am glad Balveer jaisa show hum ne banaya hai and I am really happy that the show is coming back.

For the uninformed, Adaa Khan will also be seen in a negative shade on the show this time around. In the previous seasons, this part was played by Pavitra Puniya.
