Actress Kashika Kapoor, who continues to carve a niche for herself with powerful performances and versatile choices, opens up in an exclusive conversation with India Forums about her latest Hindi project Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass and her foray into Telugu cinema with Love Your Father. From battling fevers on set to embracing new dialects and dance forms, Kashika's commitment to her craft shines through.
Speaking about her experience with Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass, Kashika shares that the story holds a special place in her heart. “What truly drew me to the role of Geeta was the sheer strength and purity of the character her unwavering belief in the power of education and her fight for her rights and identity. When my director narrated the story to me, I was deeply moved and knew instantly that this was more than just a role it was a responsibility,” she says.
To embody the spirited Geeta, Kashika dove deep into character work attending intensive workshops, staying in character even off-camera, and collaborating closely with her director to bring authenticity to every frame. Despite physically taxing conditions, including shooting critical scenes while unwell, she pushed through with conviction. “Even during emotionally and physically draining moments, like shooting key scenes with a high fever, I reminded myself why this story needed to be told,” Kashika reveals. “Geeta’s resilience and determination continue to inspire me.”

While Geeta reflects Kashika’s passion for meaningful narratives, her Telugu debut Love Your Father marked a different kind of milestone, one that challenged and enriched her as an artist. “The South Indian film industry is known for its discipline, technical brilliance, and deep-rooted storytelling, and I feel so blessed to have experienced that firsthand,” she says, adding, “Despite the language barrier, the emotional connection on set was seamless. It taught me that emotions speak louder than words, and storytelling is truly universal.”
The role demanded more than emotional range it involved new dialects and unfamiliar dance styles, but Kashika embraced every bit of the challenge. “As an actor, I’m always looking to grow, and this project gave me that opportunity,”
