The Film Critics Guild has officially announced the winners of the Critics' Choice Awards 2025, celebrating the best in feature films, web series, short films, and documentaries. This year's ceremony was particularly notable for its introduction of the Best Documentary category and for the diverse range of talent honored across various segments. One of the evening’s biggest highlights was Diljit Dosanjh’s win for Best Actor for his outstanding performance in Amar Singh Chamkila, marking a significant achievement in his acting career.
Diljit Dosanjh took home the prestigious Best Actor award for his role in Amar Singh Chamkila, a film that captivated audiences with its storytelling and portrayal of the legendary Punjabi singer. Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, Dosanjh thanked the Film Critics Guild for the honor. In his acceptance speech, he said, “Bohot bohot shukriya for considering me worthy of this award. I dedicate this to Amar Singh Chamkila and to Imtiaz sir, who brought this beautiful film to life. It was entirely his hard work; I just had the chance to be a part of it. A big thank you to the entire cast and crew.”
In the Feature Film segment, All We Imagine As Light won Best Feature Film, recognized for its compelling narrative and artistic excellence. Payal Kapadia, the director of the film, also bagged the award for Best Director, reinforcing the movie’s impact in the industry. Other winners in this category included Darshana Rajendran, who was named Best Actress for her gripping performance in Paradise, and Ravi Kishan, who secured Best Supporting Actor for Laapataa Ladies. Kani Kusruti earned the Best Supporting Actress award for her impactful role in Girls Will Be Girls. In the Best Writing category, Aattam by Anand Ekarshi stood out, winning the accolade for its remarkable storytelling.

The Web Series segment saw Poacher emerge as a major winner, securing Best Web Series. Richie Mehta, the director of Poacher, won Best Director, solidifying the show's excellence in storytelling. Among the actors, Barun Sobti was honored with Best Actor for Raat Jawaan Hai, while Nimisha Sajayan won Best Actress for her remarkable performance in Poacher. Dibyendu Bhattacharya's performance in Poacher earned him Best Supporting Actor, while Kani Kusruti added another feather to her cap by winning Best Supporting Actress for the same series.
