"Conversational comedy without complicated plots are endearing." - Asif Sheikh

Asif Sheikh currently seen in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain? on &TV has always opted to break out of the monotony and deliver some over the top performances by taking up challenging characters.

Today, Tellybuzz speaks to the actor about how he feels that his stint with Bhabhiji... is the best opportunity he has got so far in his career. 

Asif shared, "The audience today are very aware of the format of super-hit international shows and are inclined towards watching the same on Indian television. When we started shooting for Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain?, we rehearsed for entire scenes from start to end and tried to give our one shot act in the show. When viewers start relating themselves to the characters they watch on-screen, we can call it a super-hit show."

Elaborating further he added, "Conversational comedy without complicated plots and characters are endearing.  The scripts written are extra ordinary and have finesse. I like playing such challenging roles which require me to put effort."

Having experimented with varied genres on television, we went on to ask him what category his is forte to which he zeroed down on comedy. However, the actor also claimed that he would never want to get categorized as a comedian.

"I always take up a show and then take a long break before taking up the next project of another genre in order to not get typecast." Asif stated.
