'Don't want to chase stardom': Shubhangi Atre on never taking her popularity too seriously

Actress Shubhangi Atre, who is known for her show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, says that the industry often demands a lot of time from actors. She says that one needs to make sure to find time for oneself despite a hectic schedule.

“I believe it’s all about time management and creating a good work-life balance. In our profession, there’s no fixed timing. Every day it’s the same routine: wear makeup, shoot for long hours. It’s a very time-consuming profession. So, it’s important to manage time well. I try to give some time to myself, for my workouts, for my well-being, and also for my friends and family. Along with that, I focus on work too. Time management is really necessary in this industry,” she says.

Meanwhile, she says that she has never taken fame or popularity too seriously. “I feel that I should just keep doing good work, focus on my craft, and let people continue to love me for who I am. I always make sure I give time to my family and friends as well. I don’t want to chase stardom. I want to be an actor, a performer. I just want to keep doing good work as an artist and earn people’s love. Fame comes and goes; it may be here today and gone tomorrow. So I don’t want to get caught up in that,” she says.

I feel that I should just keep doing good work, focus on my craft, and let people continue to love me for who I am. I always make sure I give time to my family and friends as well. I don’t want to chase stardom. I want to be an actor, a performer.

Music is an area that she wants to focus on now. “I feel music is food for my soul. In fact, my music video, which I had announced long ago but couldn’t complete, is finally ready for launch now. Hopefully it will be released soon. Apart from that, I do have some other plans. Let’s see how things work out,” she says.

The actress is currently a part of And TV's popular 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain,' and has been a part of the show for the past 10 years now.
