CID fame Dayanand Shetty back on small screen as a host!

After playing an investigative cop in the long running popular fictional crime-based show CID, Dayanand Shetty aka Daya is all set to return to the small screen. The show deals with real-life crime stories and shows how the victims get justice. While the show started with actor Sushant Singh hosting it since 2012, currently Bollywood actors Tisca Chopra and Ashutosh Rana are seen hosting the show. 

As per a leading publication, it is said that their contracts will be over in the first week of July and Daya will take over the show from mid-July. Sources revealed that Daya will start shooting for it from next week. 

Also, we hear the makers are even in talks with Bigg Boss fame Pravesh Rana. He has also been approached, but negotiations are still on,” informs a source. 

We all have seen Daya breaking doors and perform some great action sequences in C.I.D, but it will be interesting to see him donning the hat of a host now. Are you excited to see Daya host the show? Let us know in the comment section below.
