Lajwanti actor, Sid Makkar is all set for his next project on television which is a mix of a play, TV, and film. Confused?!! Sid will soon be seen in a Cine play which will be aired on television and shot by a film crew. We got in a candid chat with the 'Luck By Chance' movie actor to know more about his new venture and his role.

Tell us something about your new Cine play on zee theater ?

It's a comedy-drama, written and directed by the award-winning Mahesh Dattani. Called the "Big Fat City," it delves into the lives and relationships of 3 couples from very different backgrounds who live in the Big Fat City, namely Mumbai. The city affects every relationship and changes every person in some way. The city of hopes and dreams doesn't always fulfill a person from within.

What will be your role in this new venture?

I play an obsessive lover from Rewari, Haryana. Probably the purest soul in the group,and I cannot see beyond my childhood love. A short fuse, a golden heart and the not so brightest guy. This is a role which can very easily be a caricature and I've tried to steer clear of that and keep it real.

How is this project different from your previous one?

Well, this is in the format of a play, to be shown on television and shot by a film crew! I've never done anything like it before. I've done plays, films, and tv, but this is a combination of all the 3 mediums. It'll be interesting to see how viewers take to it.

How excited are you to try new stuff on television?

I'm always on the lookout for something new, something exciting, something that makes me anxious, that may make others skeptical! It is the rebel without a cause thing. And it's not only with work, it's how I live my life!

If you are a fan of theater or even if you have never watched a play, this may be the thing for you. To experience a play in your living room. Try it!
