'Buzurg satiya jaate hai': Shivangi Verma takes sharp jibe at Govind Namdev over viral picture

Veteran actor Govind Namdev recently spoke about a misunderstanding that had sparked after his 31 year old costar Shivangi Verma suggested a 'romantic pairing' for the promotions for their film Gaurishankar Goharganj Wale. He said Shivangi had come up with the idea to grab public attention by hinting at a romantic link between them.

Govind, speaking to ETimes shared that at first, he went along with the plan. But things changed when Shivangi, without telling him, made a move that led to public gossip. She tagged the film in a way that gave people the wrong idea.

He said, “People began speculating about us, and frankly, I didn’t appreciate it. That’s why I stopped talking to her. I don’t want to get involved in unnecessary drama.”

Well, looks like Govind's statement has left Shivangi visibly upset. The actress has now responded strongly on the same. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress wrote in Hindi, “Sahi kaha hai kisi ne, buzurg badhti umar mein satiya jaate hain. G***N**..”(Someone rightly said, old people tend to lose their senses as they age…”)

“There were rumours that my household was affected and me and my wife were considering living separately. I didn’t react then, and I don’t react now. Everyone can see the truth. If someone refuses to, that’s not my problem. I’m not here to prove anything to anyone,'' the veteran actor said, stating that people suspected 'trouble in his marriage' with wife Sudha Namdev and that his household was affected.

He added that the situation made people feel bad for her, “People had begun feeling sorry for her — not just the audience, but even close friends and family.”

The disagreement between the two actors seems to have caused a rift. While the film remains set for release, both appear to be keeping distance from each other after the incident.
