Blake Lively has filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment and attempting to damage her reputation. A new report has revealed private text messages, allegedly exchanged between Baldoni and his publicists, showing how he plotted a PR campaign against Blake after she accused him of inappropriate behavior on set.

The New York Times reports that Baldoni reached out to Jennifer Abel, head of public relations at his studio Wayfarer, and crisis management expert Melissa Nathan in May 2024. According to the text exchanges, Baldoni expressed concern when he discovered that Blake's husband, Ryan Reynolds, had blocked him on Instagram. He said, “We should have a plan for IF she does the same when the movie comes out. Plans make me feel more at ease.”

Abel then shared with Nathan that Baldoni wanted to appear strong and suggested that Blake’s image be “buried.” In a disturbing exchange, Nathan responded cautiously, “We can’t write we will destroy her,” but added, “Imagine if a document saying all the things that he wants ends up in the wrong hands. You know we can bury anyone.”

Days later, Baldoni reportedly texted Abel a post about a celebrity’s bullying behavior, claiming that’s what he needed for his campaign. Melissa Nathan then proposed plans to dominate social media by “taking down” accounts and creating threads of theories, all while ensuring the efforts were “untraceable.”
