Following the dismissal of filmmaker and actor Justin Baldoni's USD 400 million lawsuit, American actress Blake Lively has publicly addressed the situation. Lively, for the first time since the court's decision, has released a statement on social media. In her statement, she spoke about the emotional toll of 'manufactured shame'.
In the hours following the dismissal of Justin Baldoni's lawsuit, Blake Lively shared a detailed statement on Instagram, reflecting on her experience. "Last week, I stood proudly alongside 19 organizations united in defending women's rights to speak up for their safety..." Lively wrote on her Instagram story.
"Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us," the actress added in her statement. The actress further noted that while she defeated the suit filed against her, a lot of people "don't have resources to fight back".
Blake Lively concluded her post by expressing her appreciation and love for those who supported her.

Recently, Blake Lively faced accusations of rudeness towards staff at a New York City shopping store, as shared by a TikTok user who described her as "entitled." The eyewitness claimed the Gossip Girl star "isn't very nice to the common people."
The judge ruled that Blake Lively's accusations are legally protected, dismissing Justin Baldoni's claims of reputation damage, extortion, and defamation. Although the court rejected these claims, Baldoni has the option to revise and refile two minor claims.
The court's decision to dismiss the case offers immediate legal protection for Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane, and the publication involved. Justin Baldoni, known for his role in "Jane the Virgin," had accused Lively of false accusations and career damage. The judge's dismissal weakens these claims significantly, although Baldoni has the option to revise parts of the suit. This ruling provides substantial legal relief for Lively and her team, while she maintains the right to pursue her own related claims.
Blake Lively, known for her roles in films like "Accepted" and the TV series "Gossip Girl," was recently involved in a legal dispute. Following allegations, her co-star Justin Baldoni filed a USD 400 million defamation and extortion lawsuit against her, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and publicist Leslie Sloane. The lawsuit stemmed from a sexual harassment claim Lively had filed against Baldoni. Lively's recent work includes "Another Simple Favor," released earlier this year.
