Netflix's much-discussed series, Hollywood seems to be roping in an all-dream star cast it seems. The streaming giant has a mega project coming in soon that will be created by Ryan Murphy. However, probably the biggest name has now joined the show in the form of actor Jim Parsons, who is best known for his role as Sheldon in the recently-concluded and longest-running sitcom, The Big Bang Theory.
The series already has names like Samara Weaving, Maude Apatow, Joe Mantello, Laura Harrier, and Jake Picking joining in. The previously announced cast members in the show are Darren Criss, Jeremy Pope, and David Corenswet, who are all executive producing in addition to starring. Murphy previously described the show, which received a straight-to-series order at the streamer, as “a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown.” The exact nature of the plot is being kept under wraps, though Criss did confirm that the series will be set in the 1940s and that it is slated to debut on Netflix in May 2020.
Hollywood marks the prolific producer’s first original series under his overall deal at Netflix. Are you excited about this mega project? Leave in your comments below.
