BB 15: Netizens trend 'shame on Salman Khan' after calling Abhijeet's kiss saga a joke

Bigg Boss 15 continues to a rather dud on the rating charts every week but that hasn't meant that there aren't enough talking points for the ardent fans to keep the buzz around and about. This past week and last night's weekend ka vaar was all about the Abhijeet Bichukale and Devoleena Bhattacharjee controversy, which is still being talked about on social media.

Everyone was waiting as to how will host Salman Khan react to this and his comments on the saga has left netizens rather unhappy. As one would know, Bichukale was asking for a kiss from Bhattacharjee and following the latter's reaction to it, the entire saga became a controversy.

During the episode last night, host Khan stated that Abhijeet was just joking around Devoleena and just got ‘carried away’ when he asked for a kiss for the second and third time. He exclaimed that Devoleena raised the issue only after the task got cancelled and added that she should have raised the issue at the first instance only if she was so uncomfortable. Even though he agreed to Abhijeet making Devoleena uncomfortable, he suggested that she should have maintained a distance from the former.

Avid followers of the show have now come out in support of Devoleena and Tejasswi. Many have slammed Salman Khan and called out his opinion on the matter. A few have called his views ‘disgusting’ and questioned his statement about Abhijeet’s action just being a joke.

Fans took to Twitter and called out the host for his ‘biased’ and ‘misogynist’ views. A user wrote, “im just not over what happened...#SalmanKhan is a misogynist .im so proud to stan u #TejasswiPrakash so proud.only celeb ever to make me cry was #ruinadilaik..u stand equal to her after today...i love u N grateful for ur courage.u inspire millions to speak up SHAME ON SALMAN KHAN.”

Another asked, “According to salman khan ask for kissing to a woman its just a joke and if somebody taking stand for the woman is molestation for the men Mr Salman agar yahi tumhare behen k sath hota to fir b yahi bolte tum #DevoleenaBhattacharjee #TejaswwiPrakash.”

Several viewers lent support to Devoleena and Tejasswi too. A Twitter user wrote, “being a girl, so proud of #Devoleena for speaking up and #TejasswiPrakash for standing for the right thing. it's a very sensitive topic and honestly it's not about who's your favorite or not. it's about standing for the right thing. #BB15”Another said, “Everyone knows #SalmanKhan is a biast/unfair host… but this time he has crossed all limits! How could this so called “megastar” oversimplify such a huge issue of a woman’s comfort and rights and their problems to them “leading” men on! #TejasswiPrakash #DevoleenaBhattacharjee”
