Ayush Agrawal aka Mohit to be replaced on Yeh Rishta...

Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata is the longest running show and has been through a lot changes in the span of 7 years.

The latest we hear is that Aayush Agrawal who is playing the character of Mohit has been replaced in the show. Mohit's character will be now played by Shamik Abaas.

Shamik is known for his role of Gopal from Zee TV's Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. We contacted Shamik who confirmed the news, "Yes, I will be playing the character of Mohit. I am happy to be associated with Yeh Rishta family. A little pressure is there to play the character but am confident that I will portray it very well. I will be playing the character my way and hope the audience accpet me."

Rajan Shahi says, "Yes, Mohit is getting replaced and it has been a great association with him. Not professional but personally also Aayush and we have been bonding well. And the biggest USP of Yeh Rishta is that the characters have not been replaced much. Well, due to some personal reason Aayush parted ways with us on a mutual note. Though, he is not associated with Yeh Rishta but he will be associated with our DKP family. "
