Atlee Speaks on Baby John vs. Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun and Varun Dhawan’s Bond Takes Spotlight

Filmmaker Atlee is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated film, Baby John. The action-packed movie, starring Varun Dhawan, is set to hit screens soon. However, it will face tough competition at the box office, as Pushpa 2: The Rule continues its phenomenal run. Released on December 5, Pushpa 2 has already amassed over ?1400 crore globally, marking it as a massive blockbuster.

Despite this, Atlee remains optimistic about the success of Baby John. He downplayed talks of a direct clash between the two films during a recent press conference in Mumbai. Explaining his perspective, he said, “It’s an ecosystem. Me and Allu Arjun sir are very good friends. We’re releasing Baby John in the fourth week of December, not head-to-head. So don’t call it a clash. There’s no conflict here. We’re aware that Pushpa 2 shifted from August to December, and we’ve planned our release around Christmas. We’re all professionals, and we know how to handle this."

Atlee also spoke about the camaraderie in the industry, sharing how Allu Arjun extended his support for Baby John. He said, “He congratulated me about the film and spoke to Varun. There’s great friendship and love in this ecosystem.”

The filmmaker, who previously directed Jawan starring Shah Rukh Khan, is thrilled to work with Varun Dhawan in Baby John. Speaking about his passion, Atlee said, “I want to work with every superstar in India. Big projects don’t pressure me because I love what I do.”

Produced by Atlee and Priya under A For Apple Studios, along with Cine1 Studio and Jio Studios, Baby John also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, and features Salman Khan in a cameo. The film is set to release on December 25, bringing excitement and festive vibes to the box office.
