Now all set to be back on the screen with Meet: Badlegi Duniya Ki Reet, Singh recently opened up in an interview with ETimes TV where she mentioned how she faced gender bias in the society and how she even considered quitting once at times.
She first said, "Gender stereotypes and biases are something that are quite commonly seen and experienced in our society. While her new show revolves around this issue, when asked if she ever faced any kind of gender discrimination, she says, “I have faced it often. Often it has happened that back home, whenever I am talking to someone and if my dad and brother are with me, the other person would talk to them instead of answering me. Initially, it would hurt me but now I have learned not to take it lying down. Luckily, I never faced any issues in my professional space.”
She added, “There were so many occasions when I thought of quitting and not wasting my time on things that weren’t fetching me any results. I decided to rather focus on my studies and look for another career option. In 2017, when I was preparing for my graduation, I gave the audition for my first show. I wasn’t expecting at all to get selected. However, to my surprise, I got selected and since then there has been no looking back.”
We are sure the fans of the actor are just glad she didn't quit acting.
