Arjun Mathur on International Emmys nomination: I think I am realizing how big of a deal this is

Arjun Mathur has managed to create quite an impact as his role of Karan Mehra in Made In Heaven and well, it looks like that was just the beginning after all. The actor has been nominated for an International Emmys in the Best Actor category for the show and that in fact, is indeed quite the feat. Along with him, there are nominees from across the world, including UK, Italy, and Brazil.

Arjun played the role of a wedding planner in the series and he has been receiving a lot of love on social media. In fact, Zoya Akhtar too, sent out love to him for the nomination. We got in touch with the actor, and while he sounded overwhelmed, he tried to put his emotions into words. Ask him how he feels about it, he says, ''It is pretty amazing, I mean honestly, my immediate reaction was that it is a joke or this is a lie, or this is not happening, or how is this happening? I wasn't believing it whatsoever. I spent most of yesterday bouncing off my phone because of all these messages and the posts and in a lot of shock and disbelief, honestly. I have had a tough time digesting it. I slept over it and today, the reality of it is sinking in, I think I am realizing how big of a deal this is, it feels really amazing, I have to say.''

 To be recognized at an international space like this, it is really amazing. This is all we need, the life we lead, we are constantly riddled with insecurities and self-doubts, and you are constantly questioning things.

He further went on to add, ''I have been doing what I do for 12 years you know, and I won't lie, the general vision of success that people have, so to speak, has evaded me in India until Made In Heaven. To be recognized at an international space like this, it is really amazing. This is all we need, the life we lead, we are constantly riddled with insecurities and self-doubts, and you are constantly questioning things, but when something like this comes your way, these are exactly the kind of little bits of things we need to keep going, really cause that is all that there is to it, to keep going - the joy of it, the disappointment of it, all of it is fleeting and there is really no other route, except you keep going and follow your heart, what's meant for you will come eventually.''
