Ankita Sharma: Aaliya From Ishq Aaj Kal is Sweet But Can Totally Take Your Case!

Ankita Sharma, who is still remembered for her stint in Swabhimaan will soon be making her return to screen with Zee 5  series Ishq Aaj Kal.

After the success of Ishq Subhan Allah, producer Dheeraj Kumar is set to roll out a Muslim-based web-series titled Ishq Aaj Kal under his banner Creative Eye which will revolve around the youth.

India Forums got in touch with Ankita to know about the character. Speaking about it, she said, "My character Aaliya is very different from what I have done before. She is someone who’s capable of adapting to whatever situation she’s put into. She is modern-day girl who is sweet but once you wrong her you will know she can totally take your case."

When asked her about the thing that made her take up the show, she added, " I took up this show because it has a lot to offer. Web is content rich. You get to play layered characters that are not unidimensional. Also, I think doing a finite series is more interesting as you can play one character and then move on to do something new eventually. It's satisfying as an actor."

Apart from Ankita Sharma, Paras Kalnawat who rose to fame with Meri Durga and Bidaai fame Angad Hasija have been roped in to play the leads in the series.

The cast will soon be traveling to Manali for shoot.
