The saga revolving around COVID-19's comeback has struck at its worst and due to this surge, the Maharashtra goverment on Saturday, announced new restrictions. The government circular stated that theatres, restaurants and eatries can operate with 50 per cent capacity. While swimming pools, gyms, spas, wellness centers will remain closed. Reacting to the same, veteran actor Paresh Rawal questioned the logic behind gyms being closed.

His tweet read, “Trains n Theatres n Bars n Restaurants etc are allowed to remain open with 50% capacity BUT NOT GYMNASIUM!!! WHATS THE LOGICBEHIND IT ? IS IT A CRIME TO LOOK AFTER ONES HEALTH? IS IT NOT AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE ?”

As reported earlier, the entertainment industry was once again the immediate ones to be hit by this surge in COVID-19 with films and shoots being postponed. Films like ‘Jersey’, ‘Prithviraj’, ‘RRR’ and ‘Radhe Shyam’ have been postponed, while the shooting of ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ has been put on hold. Moreover, in recent time several Bollywood celebrities like John Abraham and his wife Priya Runchal, Ekta Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, veteran actress Nafisa Ali and musician Arijit Singh have tested positive for Covid-19.
