Amid divorce rumours, Abhishek Bachchan reveals social media chatter doesn’t bother him

In a recent interview, Abhishek Bachchan shared his perspective on navigating the public eye, particularly in the context of his family's prominent presence in the acting world. He emphasized the importance of developing resilience against social media commentary about his personal life, stating that he remains largely unaffected by the online chatter. Bachchan highlighted the necessity of cultivating a "thick skin" to avoid being unduly influenced by the opinions expressed online, indicating a conscious effort to maintain a balanced perspective on his public image.

“We talk many a time about work but that is not the main focus. There are other discussions on the table, that happen as well. I have grown up in this film industry so I also know what to take seriously and what not to take seriously. I don’t get affected by what’s happening in social media," Abhishek told Instant Bollywood.

“Perhaps, Agastya [Nanda], who has just started out as an actor, he might get [affected]… because the generation is like that. But with time, one also develops a thick skin. One has to know that it is not the be-all or end-all of life," the actor added.

Bachchan's comments come amidst ongoing speculation regarding his marriage to Aishwarya Rai, fueled by recent events. Rumors of marital discord gained traction following their separate appearances at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding last year. Further fueling the speculation, Aishwarya's social media posts from their daughter Aaradhya's birthday celebration did not include any members of the Bachchan family, including Abhishek. Adding to the narrative, Abhishek was notably absent from Aishwarya's appearances at the Cannes Film Festival this year, intensifying public interest in their relationship.

Despite the ongoing speculation, both Abhishek and Aishwarya have maintained silence on the matter. However, Amitabh Bachchan previously shared a post that seemed to indirectly address the rumors circulating about their family's personal life. This has only added to the public's curiosity and the media's interest in the situation.

“I rarely say much about family, because that is my domain and its privacy is maintained by me .. Speculations are speculations .. they are speculated untruths , without verifications .. Verifications are sought by the seekers to authenticate their business and commercials of the profession they be in .. I shall not challenge their desire to be in the profession of their choice .. and I shall appreciate their effort in serving society .. But untruths .. or selected question marked information can be a legal safeguard for them that inform .. but the seed of suspected belief is sown with this most used emblem .. the question mark ..?" he had said.
