Recently celebrating 25 years in the film industry, Abhishek Bachchan is preparing for the release of his next film, Kaalidhar Laapata, which premieres on ZEE5 on July 4, 2025. In a Zoom interview, he discussed his family life, his approach to solitude, and how he balances emotional intensity in his roles.

Unlike many actors who isolate themselves to prepare for roles, Abhishek considers himself an exception. “I have never felt lost or the need to get away from everything. I am a people person," he shared. “I have my moments when I need my solitude. It is very important and essential for an actor. But not for a longer time. I need someone to talk to."

Abhishek lives in a star-studded joint family with his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, father Amitabh Bachchan, mother Jaya Bachchan, and daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. When asked about family dynamics, he shared an amusing and insightful perspective. “It’s funny. My household is very funny, and we are all actors. We all like to hang out together, and then suddenly everyone just goes back to their own personal spaces."

He continued, “That comes naturally because for actors it is important to spend time with yourself and get to know yourself. Self-discovery is something that we rarely do. It’s essential, but I would never want to be a loner."

Rumors of a trouble between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been circulating, fueled by speculation in the media and online. But Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, where she wore sindoor, seemed to quiet the rumors. Recently, Abhishek Bachchan hinted at how these negative stories affect him and his family. He also explained why he hasn't spoken out about the divorce speculation.

During an interview with Etimes, the Housefull 5 actor shared that his perspective has shifted. While he used to disregard false information about himself, he now feels the impact of negative news. He explained, "Now these things hurt. You do not live my life. You do not know how it feels to read all this. When you have a family, these things start affecting you."

Regarding Abhishek Bachchan's future projects, he will be in Kaalidhar Laapata, which is set to be released on OTT. The film's plot centers on a man dealing with memory loss and also stars Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Daivik Bhagela. It will be available on Zee 5 starting July 4.

On the professional front, Aishwarya Rai was last seen in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: II, where she reprised her role as Nandini. She has yet to announce her next project.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's wedding took place on April 20, 2007. They exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony at the Bachchan residence, Prateeksha, in Juhu, Mumbai. The couple's daughter, Aaradhya, was born in 2011.
