Allu Arjun requests Telangana HC to dismiss FIR in the Pushpa 2 stampede incident

On December 4, the premiere screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad took a dark turn with Allu Arjun's presence causing a stampede-like situation, tragically resulting in the loss of a woman's life, an immediate FIR was filed against the actor and others.

And at present, according to the most recent update, Allu Arjun has reportedly shown an inclination to seek respite from the ongoing FIR against him following that unfortunate event. The actor has approached the Telangana High Court seeking to annul the said FIR. The court is still pending to hear and address the plea shortly.

The turmoil at Sandhya Theatre transpired on December 4 during exclusive showings of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which sparked considerable anticipation among enthusiasts. When Allu Arjun arrived with his kin, a massive throng surged towards him, triggering a stampede-like scenario. Revathi graced the premiere with her two sons but got ensnared in the crush, leading to her tragic demise and her son's severe wounds.

Revathi was declared deceased upon reaching the hospital, while Sri Tej was transported to KIMS Hospital for additional care. The occurrence has prompted worries about crowd control, as authorities indicated that thousands had amassed without adequate security measures in position.

Following the calamity, authorities have initiated an inquiry and lodged a case against Allu Arjun and the theatre administration for neglect. They highlighted that there was no prior intimation about Allu's arrival, which exacerbated the disorderly situation.

Allu expressed his condolences and solidarity with the victim's family. In the video, Allu Arjun stated, "I am deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey."

Allu began by recounting how he learned about Revathi's death after attending the premiere. "When we went to watch Pushpa's premiere at RTC Crossroads, we never expected to hear such tragic news the next day. It was deeply disheartening to learn that a family was injured and that a lady named Revathi died due to her injuries. Watching movies in theatres is a cherished ritual, but this incident left us all heartbroken," he explained.
