Ali Fazal roped in opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu for Raj & DK's ambitious fantasy series 'Rakht Brahmand'

Ali Fazal and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are set to headline the upcoming fantasy series "Rakht Brahmand," an ambitious project helmed by the acclaimed duo Raj & DK. The series, described as a period drama/fantasy, promises to be a groundbreaking entry in its genre, bringing together a stellar ensemble cast including Aditya Roy Kapur and Wamiqa Gabbi in pivotal roles. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for his work on "Tumbbad," the series is poised to deliver a visually rich and narratively engaging experience.

The storyline of "Rakht Brahmand" remains under wraps, but sources suggest that the series will explore a unique blend of historical and fantastical elements. Ali Fazal, fresh off the success of his role as Guddu Pandit, is excited about the new project. Fazal's enthusiasm for the project is palpable, as he balances shooting for "Rakht Brahmand" with other commitments, including the much-anticipated film "Metro…In Dino," directed by Anurag Basu. This ensemble film, featuring stars like Sara Ali Khan, Pankaj Tripathi, and Konkona Sensharma, is set to hit theaters on November 29, 2024. Additionally, Fazal will be seen in "Lahore 1947," produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, alongside Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol. He is also part of Mani Ratnam’s "Thug Life," which boasts a star-studded cast including Kamal Haasan and Trisha Krishnan.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, another lead in "Rakht Brahmand," is currently preparing for her role in the second installment of "Citadel: Honey Bunny," where she will share the screen with Varun Dhawan. This project adds to her impressive portfolio, promising another captivating performance from the versatile actress.
