Akshay Kumar's most ambitious film, #Kesari gets started...

The actor reveals his first look from the set of "Kesari" and it is way more intriguing than imagined...

The actor takes it to his social media accounts and shares the first look of his character from the film. Talking about his look, it's way more interesting than ever imagined. As "Kesari" is a film based on one of the bravest battles fought in India 'The Battle of Saragarhi' Akshay Kumar dons the character of a Sikh soldier in a turban.

"Feeling nothing but immense pride and gratitude while sharing this. Beginning my 2018 with #KESARI, my most ambitious film and a lot of passion. Need your best wishes as always" (Sic).

The film helmed by Anurag Singh and backed up by filmmaker-producer Karan Johar.

Karan Johar too takes it to social media to share his excitement towards the film.

"Exceptionally excited about #KESARI...the BRAVEST story ever told...we begin our journey today... we seek your love and blessings...@akshaykumar @SinghAnurag79 @iAmAzure @apoorvamehta18" (sic).

https://twitter.com/karanjohar/status/949170306010230784However, the film was supposed to be backed by Karan Johar and superstar Salman Khan but, recently during an interview, Salman had revealed the reason for opting out from the film. "Karan has his home production and I have mine. He had come to me long back with the project, but he did all the work from casting to everything. I thought just adding my name was not right, stated by Salman.

Now that the film is only backed by Karan, it will mark the second collaboration of Akshay and Karan post their last film, "Brothers" in 2015.

Kesari is all set to release in the festive season of Holy, 2019.
