Akshay Kumar in a press conference today confirmed that his social drama flick 'Pad Man' had been postponed to mostly 9th February. The film made much noise as it was clashing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus film 'Padmaavat'.
The director and the actor came together for a press conference today to announce the same. When asked Akshay about this decision, he revealed, "I was at the Filmfare rehearsal and that's when Sanjay sir came in and asked me if I can move the film ahead. And without being hesitant, I agreed to it. I've done a lot of films with him so I wanted his film to come in a single day". He further added, "We all are family. This Industry is a family. There's no point in clashing. His need is more for this date than mine".
Now, that was one great gesture from Akshay's side. Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the end requested the media to appreciate Akshay for his decision.
