Ajay Devgn Unveils Soulful Title Track 'Azaad Hai Tu' from Abhishek Kapoor's Azaad at Bhubaneswar Event

The much-awaited title track, Azaad Hai Tu, from Abhishek Kapoor’s upcoming film Azaad, has finally been released, capturing the timeless bond between humans and animals. Featuring Ajay Devgn and debutant Aaman Devgan, the song was unveiled in Bhubaneswar at the DAV United Fest, where a crowd of 20,000 fans witnessed the launch alongside Devgn, Rasha Thadani, director Abhishek Kapoor, and producer Pragya Kapoor.

Ajay Devgn, known for his earthy charm, shares an emotional connection with the titular character, Azaad, in this poignant track. The song also highlights Aaman Devgan’s profound bond with the horse, set against breathtaking backdrops.

Director Abhishek Kapoor shared, “The essence of Azaad Hai Tu lies in capturing the pure love and loyalty that animals bring into our lives. We wanted to showcase the depth of this relationship and the extraordinary lengths animals go to protect their caretakers. Ajay Devgn and Aaman Devgan formed such a close bond with the horse that everything else naturally fell into place, right from the soothing melodies to the majestic backdrops, making Azaad Hai Tu one of the most special songs of the film.”

The song, composed by Amit Trivedi and penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, is brought to life by Arijit Singh’s soulful voice. Trivedi commented, “Depicting the purity of the relationship between animals and their guardians was a fresh concept, and curating the perfect tunes became our utmost priority. Once I heard Azaad’s story, I immediately knew what kind of music would work best. As a team, when we heard the final composition, everyone felt an instant connection, not just with the music, but with Azaad himself.”

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Pragya Kapoor, Azaad introduces Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani, alongside Ajay Devgn in a powerful role and Diana Penty in a key part. The film promises to be an emotional cinematic journey and is set to release in theatres on 17th January 2025.
