Ganesh Festival and Mumbai is a sight to behold. From a variety of revered, tall, mighty idols of Lord Ganesha the festival is celebrated on a grand scale, especially in Maharashtra. While each idol of the elephant god holds its own importance  Mumbai’s favourite Ganesh Lalbaug Cha Raja is one of the most visited idols every year.

Over the years, devotees from Mumbai and across India started thronging the pandal, praying to the Lalbaug Cha Raja to grant them their wishes.

Ajay Devgn reached Lalbaug with his son Yug. The father-son duo were rocking their traditional fits. Ajay wore a blue kurta and a white salwar while his son wore a Yellow and white kurta pyjama.

The Bhool Bhulaiya actor donned a light pink kurta with a white salvar and kept it basic. To note the actor shared an emotional note as this was his first visit to the renowned idol of Lord Ganesha.

Kajol was seen donning a yellow saree with a golden border on it. The actress tied her hair in a sleek bun and wore minimal jewellery. She also wore green bangles in one hand to complete her traditional ensemble. Kajol took Bappa's darshan along with actress Revathi.

The Goodbye actress visited the Raja in a printed lehenga and a matching blouse. Rashmika Mandanna layered up her printed lehenga with a matching long jacket. While it was a busy print with florals and bright colours. The actress was also accompanied by Neena Gupta and Ekta Kapoor. She went to seek blessings for her upcoming Bollywood debut Goodbye.

Tamannaah Bhatia opted for an ethnic blue suit that features mirror work embroidery design near the collar and floral print. She kept her makeup very basic with red bindi and tied her hair into a bun. Statement silver jewelry added the right amount of oomph to the festive look, which is total steal-worthy.

As organizers expect huge numbers of footfall each year, proper arrangements are made to ensure every devotee gets a chance to seek blessings from the deity.

Oh really, hmm? India is a “laughing stock” for its belief systems? Knowing Indians, I doubt they give a flying “efff” what the world thinks of their belief systems as it is much too large and important compared to what the world “thinks.”
