Thank God, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn, is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year. Rakul Preet Singh, will play the female lead in the film.

Thank God's first-look posters and video have already garnered a lot of buzz but the movie is now facing legal issues. IANS reports that attorney Himanshu Srivastava has filed a complaint in a Jaunpur court against filmmaker Indra Kumar, as well as Ajay Devgn and Siddhartha Malhotra. The petitioner claims that the Thank God movie's trailer mocks religion and has offended religious sensitivities. In his plea, Himanshu said that Ajay, who is dressed in a suit, can be seen acting the part of Chitragupta, and in one scenario, he can be seen making jokes and using foul language.  "Chitragupta is regarded as the Lord of Karma and keeps a record of a man's good and bad deeds. Such depiction of Gods can create an unpleasant situation since it hurts religious sentiments," the petition said.

Additionally, Nora Fatehi makes a special cameo in the film 'Thank God' for a song that is the official Hindi translation of the well-known song Manike Mage Hithe by Sri Lankan artist Yohani. This is Ajay and Rakul's third time working together. They had previously worked on Runway 34 and De De Pyaar De. Sidharth and Rakul have previously collaborated on the films Aiyaary and Marjaavaan. Sidharth, Rakul, and Ajay will be working on this project together for the first time.

The film is helmed by Indra Kumar. 'Thank God' is a T-Series Films & Maruti International production. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres on October 25 this year, right around Diwali.

ChickenSoup 2 months ago Here we go...butthurt hindu termites have started to complain over this movie. Funny how they always cry about their imaginary gods being depicted just as they were but they have no issue vilifying other religions and traditions.
