Chunky Panday seems to be relishing his nephew Ahaan Panday’s early success in the industry. The actor recently reposted a social media comment that cheekily suggested the Pandays have emerged “out of syllabus” in the Bollywood landscape dominated by the Khans and Kapoors. The context? Ahaan’s debut film Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, raked in an impressive Rs 21 crore on its first day, an achievement not often seen with first-time actors, even from film families.
The post in question originally came from trade analyst Joginder Tuteja, who shared a photo of Chunky alongside his children, Ananya Panday and Ahaan, and wrote, “In the world of Kapoors and Khans, Pandeys came out of syllabus. And I am not joooooking!!!!!” Chunky responded with a series of happy and heart emojis and reshared it on his Instagram Stories.

No one could’ve predicted that Chunky Panday’s daughter would have a better career than Shah Rukh’s daughter, and now his nephew is off to a stronger start than Amitabh’s grandson.”
The chatter didn’t stop there. Another commented, “These nepotism babies should take out each other. That’s the drama I’m here for.” Someone else noted, “Aamir Khan’s son, Bachchan’s grandson, Saif’s son, so many big nepos. But somehow, Chikki Panday’s son beat them all. Who even cared for the Panday family before?”
However, some voices cautioned against premature comparisons. “Not defending Suhana, but she’s yet to have a theatrical release. Ananya has been around longer. It’s not a fair comparison yet,” one user wrote. Another added, “Even Alanna Panday, who’s not in films, carved her path on YouTube. I didn’t know about Ahaan’s debut until the poster dropped.”
Saiyaara, backed by YRF and co-starring Aneet Padda of Salaam Venky and Big Girls Don’t Cry fame, has been receiving praise from critics and viewers alike. The romantic drama seems to have landed well with audiences, giving Ahaan a solid launchpad and giving his family a moment to gloat, if only mildl
