COLORS' Saanjhi Dopahar gets its third show in Shrishti Arya's show with a Maharashtrian backdrop, tentatively titled 'Shivaji Park'.

Aarti Singh, Hemant Thatte and Romit in Shrishti Aryas next on COLORS
The show which is produced by Rose Audio Visuals will see the comeback of Aarti Singh who played the role of Rano in Star Plus' Grihasti. Aarti plays the female lead while Hemant Thatte who essayed the role of Kshitij in Zee TV's Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann will play her husband.

Romit Raj who was last seen as host of Star Plus' Perfect Bride makes a comeback to fiction with this show on COLORS. He will play the younger brother of Hemant. For the uninitiated, both Romit Raj and Hemant Thatte earlier worked together in Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann.

According to our source, "The story is about a simple middle class Maharashtrian family where the family members try their level best to adjust to the ups and downs they face. The family consists of the parents, sons played by Hemant Thatte and Romit Raj. Aarti Singh plays the dutiful bahu and Hemant's wife who balances everything in the house with sheer hard work, bringing about a smile on everyone's faces. They have a five year old kid too. Noted Marathi actress Meena Kulkarni plays the mother while Vilas, a Marathi actor plays the role of the father".

When contacted, Aarti Singh confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I play the lead role in the show. But I cannot divulge details".

Hemant Thatte too confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am part of the show. The story is about a simple middle class family where I play the eldest son of the house".

We tried calling Romit Raj, but his phone was out of reach.

"Romit Raj who plays the youngest son of the house has a love interest. Aakansha Kapil who debuted with Mamta and was also seen in Sangam will play his love interest", further informs our source.

When contacted, Aakansha confirmed the news and said, "I have not started shooting, but yes, I am part of the show".

The shoot of the show started yesterday, and the promo will be shot very soon. The show is expected to launch in the afternoon slot along with BAG Films' Gangaa and DJ Creative Unit's Aise Karo Na Vida. The launch date and time slot has not been finalized yet.

We tried calling Producer Shrishti Arya and even sent her a text message, but she remained unavailable. Earlier, Rose Audio Visuals produced the show Aathvaan Vachan on Sony.

With such a good line-up of actors, we hope the show proves to be a jackpot for the channel in the afternoon slot…
