Aamir Khan Jokes About Salman Finding a ‘Gauri’ After SRK and Him Already Having Gauri in Their Lives

Aamir Khan recently introduced his girlfriend, Gauri Spratt, to the media, confirming their serious relationship. While fans were excited about his new romance, many couldn’t help but notice an amusing coincidence—Shah Rukh Khan’s wife is also named Gauri. This led to a playful exchange between Aamir and a journalist, who asked if Salman Khan would also find his own ‘Gauri.’

During the press meet, a journalist from Hindustan Times playfully asked Aamir, “SRK has a Gauri, you have one now. Ab Salman ko bhi…?” Aamir, slightly taken aback, repeated the question to confirm, “Salman ko bhi Gauri dhoondh leni chahiye (Salman should also find a Gauri)?" He then responded with a witty sigh, (What will he find now)?” His remark left everyone laughing. Aamir was also asked whether Salman ever took advice from him or SRK about settling down. He replied, “Salman will do what is good for him,” making it clear that his friend will make his own choices.

Introducing Gauri Spratt

Aamir, who will soon turn 60, revealed that he has known Gauri for 25 years, but their romantic relationship started a year and a half ago. He also shared that she is from Bangalore and works in production. Aamir mentioned that he had already introduced Gauri to Salman and Shah Rukh at his home.

When asked how he managed to keep his relationship private, Aamir explained, “For one, she lived in Bangalore till recently. So, I would fly down to meet her, and the media scrutiny is less there. So we stayed under the radar.” Gauri also spoke about meeting Aamir’s family and said they welcomed her warmly. She shared, “I felt very welcomed. They met me with open arms.”

Aamir Khan was previously married to Reena Dutta in 1986, and they have two children, Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002. In 2005, he married Kiran Rao, with whom he shares a son, Azad Rao Khan. Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021.
