Star Plus' 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' is on a introduction spree there days. After the departure of lead actress Hina Khan, the show makers introduced Kartik's family and have been roping in well known names for the same.

While, actors Sachin Tyagi and Parul Chauhan have already entered as Karthik's (Mohsin Khan) parents, we recently reported about actor Rafi Malik entering the show as Karthik's brother.

And now another massive addition to Karthik's family is set to take place in the form of a veteran actress making her comeback to the small screen.

We are talking about actress, Swati Chitnis who is best remembered for her roles in 'Jasuben Jayantilaal Joshi Ki joint Family' and 'Laagi Tujhse Lagan' among many more shows.

According to a leading news portal, Swati will be entering the show as Karthik's grandmother.

Karthik's grandma will be a superstitious, anarchic and health-conscious woman. However, she will love her grandchild and have a soft corner for her son, Manish Goenka (Sachin Tyagi). The catch is that she would dislike her daughter-in-law, Swarna (Parul Chauhan) but bond with her for the sake of her son.

Her entry is sure to spice up drama in the show!
