There has always been an undying debate on the different concepts of the shows being aired on television. Hence, there have been attempts to introduce remarkable shows on TV. But how far do these attempts succeed? Sadly, a saturation point comes when the story undergoes a complete change from what it had promised to be. It gives the viewers a sort of paradoxical experience as things take an unexpected turn on the show that they had never imagined. We bring to you such shows whose trailers were captivating, however, after a few episodes, the story failed to grab audience attention:
It's the story about four sisters - Alka (Neha Pednekar), Anushka (Ishita Ganguly), Devyani (Sonal Vengurlekar) and Peeya (Pragati Chourasiya) - who are accompanied only by their father as they lost their mother at a young age. Initially, the concept was quite interesting as it showed the relationship of daughters with their father. It depicted the hardships faced by them as they moved to a new city. But the story soon lost its essence and failed to garner audience attention.
Dil Ki Baatein
Starring Ram Kapoor, Gurdeep Kohli, Sai Deodhar, Mahima Makwana and Pankaj Dheer, this romantic-drama series shows how things change when Ram's wife dies of cancer. As the show failed to maintain TRP and audience's attention, the channel has decided to pull the plug. It is believed that the show would air its last episode on August 30.
Sasural Simar Ka
This daily soap seems to have drenched in all sorts of genre. Be it romantic, thriller, emotional or super-natural. Featuring Avika Gor, Dipika Kakar, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Manish Raisinghan, Sasural Simar Ka is a tale of two sisters who fell in love with two brothers and married them. The show has been airing on Colors for over four years. With not much interesting concept to watch out for, surprisingly, the show is still raking in TRPs. It now seems to head towards an uncanny direction.
The show garnered huge support from the audience before its 15-year leap when it exhibited the brother-sister bond. The roles were performed by child actors Harshita Ojha, Bhavesh Balchandani, Devish Ahuja and Arshifa Khan. Post the leap, actors Digangana Suryavanshi, Shivin Narang, Vishal Vashishtha and Farnaz Shetty managed to impress the audience but of late there was nothing left to discover. Now, the show is all set to bid adieu.
The story of the show can evidently be comprehended with its name. This Indian historical drama Jodha Akbar was one of the top-rated shows of television. After consistently maintaining its TRP for two years, it's now dwindling on the charts. The makers have decided to end it on a positive note.
Nisha Aur Uske Cousins
Not only the trailer but the initial episodes of this show were quite exciting. It depicted the relationship of cousins in a joint family and the hardships they face together to keep their parents happy. With some twists introduced later in the show, it failed to connect with the viewers and hence, was pulled off the air last month.
