Ofcourse, only on the condition that they are given justice...

The digital space continues to bloom with every passing day and makers are ready to be bold and risky with the treatment of content on the same. Time and again, in several conversations with producers, directors and even actors, we learn how the rise of the digital era can solemnly be credited to monotony served on the small screen.
However, there is no denial that this platform is still a growing one and it is the reach of it that the maker capitalizes upon. In the modern era, we have already witnessed some path-breaking webseries that has been nothing short of a revelation.
And hence, we thought that till the reach of digital space becomes as big as television, it would be a good idea to adapt or remake some of the absolutely amazing web shows on television. And given the scarcity of 'good content' television faces currently, we wouldn't mind something genuinely good coming up on television.
Chinese Bhasad

Some may find this choice to be rather unconventional and we agree to that. However, to get a web-series on television is also about marrying the idea of content and tolerable commercialism. With a concept like that of Chinese Bhasad, it gives the perfect liberty of being commercial along with not deviating from the content. A cross-cultural show about an Indian boy wanting to marry a Chinese girl and the problems they face with this idea would make a great light-hearted content-driven television show.
Girl In The City

The disheartening and ironic truth of Indian television is that even though we have an abundance of shows with women as the protagonists, how many do we applaud for being a progressive drama? Almost none. So, while the idea of having a female protagonist isn't novel, a series like Girl In The City would make for a truly progressive show we are craving for. The story about a 21-year-old girl wanting to make it big in the fashion industry and her life in a metropolitan city would be a treat as a TV show.
A.I.SHA - My Virtual Girlfriend

Again, the idea of having a sci-fi piece of work is at dearth when it comes to film-making overall. Films, TV or web, we did not have a single piece of science-fiction drama to be proud about until we were introduced to A.I.SHA - My Virtual Girlfriend on the web. A truly intelligent show flaunting realistic and believable technological theories made it an amazing watch. And now that the web has given us A.I.SHA, a smart and intricate adaptation for television would be an amazing watch.
Permanent Roommates

No one would have expected this web show to become the cult it went on to be. Even though the base-plot of the show may not be a marvel in terms of the novelty of a story, it is the intricate screenplay, nuanced performances and gentle humour of the show that made Permanent Roommates a runaway hit. Considering the treatment of the show, it probably qualifies the best to be adapted into a TV show. Having said that, we only foresee this if the story-telling is crisp and the makers manage to get fabulous performers like Summet Vyas aka Mikesh and Nidhi Singh aka Tanya in the TV version.
TVF Pitchers

The Viral Fever (TVF) certainly brought a revolution presenting shows like Permanent Roommates and TVF Pitchers and let's just say, we kept the biggest challenge for the last. To adapt a show like Pitchers for Indian television is nothing short of a mountaineering feat. With factors like expletives and bold treatment of characters being censored on television, a Pitchers may not be the same to many on TV. But, we have witnessed several TV shows in recent times who have managed to push the boundaries and present brave stories. And with the perfect team being assembled to create one for TV, we feel that the feat is achievable.
Even though we have an array of web series coming in and out every other day, very few have managed to leave a lasting impact. And while television continues to have a bigger reach for now, adapting these shows and doing complete justice to it would be a good idea.
