Whilst some may have regrets about 2015 not being a productive year, some of our favourite Bollywood celebrities have been in the limelight throughout the entire year and enjoying every moment of it. Balancing various projects together is not everyone's cup of tea, but there are a few extraordinary people out there who manage to shine through amongst it all. Below are some of these actors who have made a significant contribution to the Bollywood industry this year.
Staying on her high horse, Padukone had not one or two, but three movies under her belt this year. Starting off with Piku alongside the magnetic Amitabh Bachchan and talented Irrfan Khan in the first part of the year, Padukone ended on a high note with Bajirao Mastani starring the talented Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. This year also marked her professional reunion with Ranbir Kapoor in Tamasha. She sure was a busy woman this year!
Like her Bajirao Mastani counterpart, Chopra has also been very busy lately with her stint in the popular American TV show Quantico. Despite shuttling her time between Hollywood and Bollywood, Chopra managed to be the shining star in the multi-starrer, Dil Dhadakne Do released in the first half of 2015, and ended the year with her stint in Bajirao Mastani where she essayed the character of Kashibai. Definitely the multitasker, Chopra is!
Being in the limelight is no new feat for this beautiful lass who proved her mettle once again by outdoing herself numerous times this year. Starring in three widely different avatars in three films for 2015 - NH10, Dil Dhadakne Do and Bombay Velvet, Sharma charmed many with her versatility. She also ventured into production with NH10, and was lauded for the same. Sharma can safely give herself a pat on the back!
Known for his eccentric style, Singh's loyal fans are extremely happy to be blessed with his on-screen presence in more than one film this year. Joining his Bajirao Mastani ladies, Singh also starred in the popular ensemble film Dil Dhadakne Do alongside Anil Kapoor, Rahul Bose and Farhan Aktar. Singh certainly had a productive year!
One man who has always been consistent with his work load year after year is Akshay Kumar. Kumar started the year off with Baby and ended it with Singh is Bling, a sequel to his previous blockbuster, Singh is Kinng (2008). He also had Brothers and Gabbaris Back to add to his cap. Kumar must be quite proud of his achievements this year!
The man may not be making the best of decisions lately, but that didn't stop him from being a busy bee. Kapoor can proudly add three films to his kitty this year after starring in Roy, Bombay Velvet and Tamasha opposite the beautiful and talented Jacqueline Fernandes, Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone respectively. While his appearances in the former two films were questioned, he emerged as a phoenix and wowed one and all with his stellar performance in Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha, and has proven his worth to all his detractors. Good going, Kapoor!
After pairing up with Kareena Kapoor Khan in Bajirangi Bhaijaan, Khan wooed his fans all over again with the universal blockbuster, Rajshri Productions' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo opposite the beautiful Sonam Kapoor. Returning to the big screen as Prem must certainly be the highlight of Khan's year!
Even though Dhawan has Badlapur and ABCD 2 to add to his cap this year, the highlight of the year would be his stint in Dilwale alongside the eternal on-screen Jodi, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, and paired opposite the beautiful Kriti Sanon. Dhawan's career kickstarted with a bang and he's been living on the high note ever since. Dhawan must be proud of himself.
All of the aforementioned people have one thing in common - success. To be successful in life, one must always be prepared to give and not take and always be persistent. We all have goals and BollyCurry wishes these celebs have a more successful 2016 and be one step closer to achieving their goals in life.
