Is 65 years old and is Vicky's father (Bauji). He is the man of the family with stern beliefs and regulates the house. He is a very temperamental and loses his cool if any member of the family goes against his word. He is a very superstitious man and egocentric person. Out of his own experiences, he has developed some beliefs one of which is that 'an educated woman can never make a good homemaker'. Thus, he gets all his sons married to illiterate women who according to him look after his sons better and keep them happy. His wife is an educated woman and would always interfere into his business deals, which has leaded him to his strong decision of getting his sons married to uneducated women. He is proud of his uneducated bahu's especially Jugni who has been a select from the grand 'Swayamwar'. In Punjab, it is an archaic tradition to build the water tanks on the terraces into a shape of an aeroplane, if any member of the house is an NRI. To have this tag of pride in his house too, Bauji sends his youngest son Vicky to UK to pursue his further education.

Vicky loves Jugni but cannot express it to her particularly after learning that, she had deceived his family by marrying him.
