He's the true blue son of the soil of Bihar whose every aspect of life reveals the ethos of the place he belongs to. Om Shankar is a wily, crude and powerful businessman politician of Bihar for whom power is everything and no cost is too high to acquire it. He keeps the dignity of his violent operations by never appearing in the forefront of things, but he trusts his man Friday and son-in-law Sujeet implicitly, as much as he's fond of his daughters Trisha and Kakul. He has little patience or understanding of the complexities of delicate human relationships and left to himself would apply the maxim of power, money and gun to them also. Through the story Om Shankar only changes his methods from silent pressure to open force, but has no journey of his own evolution.

Alok Nath, veteran of tellywood, famous for his roles in Astitva & Bunyaad, now seen as Samman's dad, first very angry with Khakul because of Sammans marriage to Khakul he could loose his business ( Vanshika-Sammans finance was his cash cow). But later on he realized that his son was the guilty one and Khakul had left home of dreams. Amarnath is not as gentle as he appears on the eye. He has done things in the past, shadows of his action still haunting him at night. The business he claims as his own, was equally own his friend, father of Neha and husband of Kaushalya. He robbed their share in the business, leaving them poor, depending on Amarnath for even cent. He is very emotional, get angry quickly, everyone should consult him before taking any action and he doesn't like to told that he is wrong. He is good by heart, but sometimes fails to judge the situation correctly. He is dependent on emotional and moral support of his family, especially his elder son Rishabh. He has complete trust in Rishabh. He expects little of his other children and already lost hope for Samman. After Samman Left the house he declared him death and told him never to come back. He also disapproves when other family members try to meet Samman. He cares a lot for Khakul and he feels sorry for Om Shankar Ji. But because he has own daughters to worry about he appears selfish and tries to ignore all contacts with Bihar.

as: Shekhar
Kiran will do a cameo in the role of Shekhar, Devika's fiancee. He is attracted to dominating women and falls for Devika right away. He likes her angry nature. Despite, he believes their marriage can work. Character description will be adjusted when more comes to light about Shekhar. Kiran said he might stay in the show if his character develops and starts to play a substantial role in the story, but for now he is only planned to be in the show for a month.

She is nothing like her husband, always suspicious of other people and it's very hard to live with her. But she is a good mother and has the best at heart for her children. She looks down to village people and she treats Kaushalaya like her servant. like Amarnath she also has Little faith in her kids except from Rishabh, she is very close to her elder daughter Devika, almost like friends. She hates Khakul...actually there is no real reason for her to hate her, but it has much to do with the fact that she thinks of Khakul, Devika's marriage was broken and the family faced financial problems. She suspects Cynthia & Rishabh's relation and id trying to conceive everyone that she is right. She is not a bad person, she is a mother who wants the best for her children, even if this means that other people's children will be hurt. she is not good at relations, she constantly engages in arguments with her husband, her mother in law and her children Sharad and Rishabh.
as: Risshabh
Rishabh is the eldest and very talented doctor son of Amarnath who lives away from the family in Pune in the early part of the story. He is the quintessential eldest and responsible sort of son who does not in any way wart to trouble or hurt his parents, yet he doesn't relate either with the business oriented mind of his father or Samman, nor the kitchen politics of the other ladies of his household. He has a secret in his life which though it gives him immense peace and happiness in the personal sphere, worries him in terms of the effect of it's revelation on his not-so-broadminded family. Rishabh is married to a sweet Catholic nurse called Cynthia and they live in an idyllic world with their 5 years old son Bunty and Cynthia yearns and dreams of the time that his family will know and accept her. But Rishabh never has the nerve to tell, though otherwise he is the one whom every single member of the family turns to in nerve-racking situations. Rishabh is fond of Kakul and counsels Samman to accept her, as forcefully as he ticks off Devika for her bitchy ways.

Fairly early in life Sujeet had figured out that there were hundreds of middle class young men in Bihar like him who would go through a mundane and powerless life. If his life was different - excitingly close to the corridors of power, with lots of relative comfort and luxury, it was only because Trisha loved and married him. So he has decided to pay a lifelong price for this privileged life by showing utmost loyalty to Om Shankar and utter love and devotion to Trisha, besides fond concern & indulgence with Kakul. He is worldly wise and has slightly more time and inclination to think of the relationships around. But he too does not have the insight to perceive how his actions of control can have an adverse impact on people around.

Khakuls elder sister and Sujeet's wife. She's funny, sometimes get bored in the house since khakul got married. Her dad and Sujeet are always busy with work so she starts complaining and demands that Sujeet spends time with her. She knew that there was something fishy about khakul and sammans marriage, but she was not aware of the fact that Sujeet forced samman at gunpoint. She is the neutral party in the bihari family, often trapped within the fights between her.

Cynthia is a strong, independent and a woman of principles yet very ethical and clean hearted. She is a catholic nurse who fell in love with Dr. Rishabh while he was in the final year of medical college. She secretly got married to him and now they have a five year old son. A true family person at heart she likes to lead a very simple lifestyle and very patient in her behaviour.

SAMMAN is a typical city-bred handsome boy who is very used to open and free relationships of friendship around him. He's a good second son to his father and runs the family business. Being a complete big-city man, Samman somehow looks at the small-town people and values, as very different from his own. Though all set to marry Vanshika, the daughter of his father’s business partner Saxena, he flirts dangerously with Kakul in Patna. Although Samman is not sure about his feelings for Kakul, he makes her believe that he loves her immensely. Samman lacks strength in his values but he later becomes more mature and responsible human being. In the course of time Samman realizes how important love and family ties are and goes to any extent to protect Kakul.

She is the lovely, bholi bhali little kiddo of the family and they didn't expected her to grow up so fast as she was very lazy, getting up late, no interest in prayers. But all this changed when her prince charming came along from mumbai, stole her heart within hours and changed her way of life. She was so overwhelmed by Samman that she got trapped in his flirt act and took everything for real. When Sujeet came to know about Samman & Khakul, Sujeet wanted to kill Samman. She told Sujeet she would die, because now Samman is everything to her. Till the honeymoon she was not aware of the fact that something was wrong. During their honeymoon something started to act strangely, not coming near to her. But when they consummate their marriage(samman was drunk and thought he is with vanshika), she thought everything will be fine. At her in laws she always tried to be nice and handled in the interest of the family. But she was not respected. She only had the support of Rishab and dadi, the younger kids and later on Samman's dad. After she finds out that Samman doesn't ask her to stay. Back in Bihar her brother in law wants her to abort the child. But she refuses; she wants to bring up the child by her own. And silently she longs for Samman, hoping she will come to get her one day. After her father finds out the truth Khakul is stunned to see how it affected all other relations in her family, she still chooses to give up everything and everyone for a man who has no feelings for her, not even sympathy. She goes against her precious ones for another family, one that always deserted her, a family that is not ready to support her in bad times, not even for the sake of humanity. A girl strong of will, determined to keep her words, a girl who judges situations by heart not by mind, a girl who is ready to sacrifice her self.....only to live her dreams... ..
