Enjoy the ride...

Prologue

In a light pink churidaar, looking beautiful as always, her long hair tied up in a pony tail. Mehak leaned against the railing of the window of her room, her big beautiful eyes gazed out into the night sky. The full moon and the shining stars above her head made the city lights look so lively. It was a quiet night, it almost felt like the calm before the storm. Closing her eyes for a few seconds, she took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around herself as the night breeze left a shiver down her spine. Her fingers clutched the railing tightly as her biggest fear flashed infront of her eyes.

"Mom?! Mom, where are you?!" a cute voice echoed through the hall, that belonged to a little girl in a pink frok, long silky tresses dangling over her shoulder. She ran back and forth in search of her mother, but she was nowhere to find. "Has mom already left?" She said in her broken voice.

"Sia". Suddenly she heard her name and two pair of soft hands covered her eyes. As soon she heard the voice she knew to whom the voice belonged. The smile which was lost since the time she couldn't find her mother, within seconds appeared back on her face. "Mom!" She screamed, as loudest she could.

Within a swift motion she turned around to see the most angelic face on this earth ever. There she was "Mehak Khanna" her darling mother. "Sorry baby" She said while touching her ears smiling at her daughter asking for forgiveness for not being around.

Without wasting much time Sia jumped into Mehak's arms and took her into an bone crushing hug. Mehak smiled and hugged her back with all the love she had.

"Sia my sweet little munchkin! Why do you think I would leave you my bacha?! ." She said trying to keep that smile intact on her face. "Dadi said you are leaving, but why mom? Where are you going and that too without me?. She said while tears made their way into her beautiful eyes. Mehak's face went pale as her daughters words echoed through the hall, she tried to hold her ground which kind a flipped under her feet. With in seconds she pulled herself together and with a smile on her face changing the topic quickly. "Nahi mera bacha, I am not going anywhere. Mein yahin per houn, kahin nahi ja rahi. Chalo we will talk about this lateron but for now we have to go. Sana and Sanjana, your naughty sisters might be here anytime. Hum nahi mile to dono ghar ko sar per utha lein ghi. Now go and change, if you need any help just call me". Said Mehak hoping to have diverted Sia's attention.

"No! Pehle promise karo ke aap mujhe chor ker kahin nahi jao ghi." Said Sia while holding her hand out infront of Mehak demanding for a promise. A cute little pout appeard on her face while her innocent eyes twinkled looking up at her. Mehak couldn't hold her smile thinking how she was a carbon copy of him. "Acha baba pakka promise, mein kahin nahi ja rahi. Ab khush?" She said pressing a kiss against her forehead. Sia happily kissed her mom and ran towards her room to get changed.

Once Sia was gone, not being able to hold onto herself, she fell down to her knees. "Aaj maine Sia ko yeh keh kar sambhaal to liya lekin ek na ek din tou mujhe jana hee hai. Why is this happening to me?! Once upon a time I wanted this to end as soon as possible, but now its a part of my life. How can I leave everything behind. How can I leave my family, my kids and most importantly him. I just can't." Bit by bit Mehak was breaking into a million pieces. She didn't let anyone know but the fear of losing him was there, deep inside, eating her up. How she wished things would have been different...

Startled she opened her eyes. This was bound to happen one day and it almost happened today. Her worst nightmare was about to come true. Wiping the sweat away from her forehead, in order to calm her nerves she closed her eyes again. After standing for a while against the cold railing she opened her eyes and turned around to walk across the room in search of her phone. Which she had thrown away in a great frustration. "You are exactly becoming like him!" She mumbled to herself and shook her head thinking how some of his traits had rubbed off on her.

Luckily she looked under the bed and found the poor thing lying in a corner on the floor. She looked at the home screen to find 10 missed calls from an unsaved unkown number, which was familiar in so many ways. "Not again! For God Sake, stop calling me! I know what I have to do!" She almost screamed in distress. She was about take a huge step, something that would change everything, something that would effect so many lives, something that would break her in a million pieces. Some new beginnings and some unwanted endings. She still couldn't believe what was about to happen. Holding her tears back she looked down at her hand, moving it upwards she stared at her wedding ring. His face flashed infront of her eyes and his deep husky voice echoed in her ears. How she wished to hear his voice once, never did she realize before how his voice could do wonders. His soothing words of assurance, the sound of his hearty laugh, all of it were treasured somewhere deep inside her. She could let go of everything but for some reason this would be the most difficult thing to let go off. After having debated with her innerself she decided to call him up again and this time promising herself to not hang up on it even before it gets connected. She had been trying to call him since he had gone out. Very bravely she would dial his number and disconnect the phone even before it would ring. She didn't know why she was being so nervous today, usually she would never hesitate before calling him.

While walking back and forth her eyes halted and stared at the huge family picture behind on the wall. In the frame they all looked like a big happy family but where they really happy? And what place did she have in the family? Did her existence even matter? There were so many questions yet she knew she didn't have any right to demand for any answers. After staring at it for a while she turned her focus back to the home screen of her phone. The huge clock besides the frame ticked 10.30 pm. Taking a deep breath she swiped her fingers over the screen and dialed his number again. "Why are you being so nervous?! Just call him and get done with it!" She told her self again and again while still going back into the denial mode, wether to call him or not. He was out of town, on one of his outdoor tours again. Less than 24 hours since he had left and she was already missing him. The word missing was an understatement, it was more than missing. Something she wasn't able to understand herself, and something that could not be put into words. Not that it was the first time he had gone for a tour. Once in a while he would go on outdoor meetings or conferences. But this time it was all different, the strange kind of longing, the never ending wait for him to call and inform her about his whereabouts. She had never felt this before and it was surely taking a toll on her sanity. Although two days and he would be back home...back to her.

She tilted her head to look across the room at his picture on the shelf. He was hands down the most beautiful man on this planet, no wonder girls still die to see his one glimpse. "What would he be doing? Does he feel the same way I feel when he is away? Does he even miss me?" She sighed, knowing very well he didn't care or maybe he did but would never express, or it might be he didn't know how to express. "Khadoos Kumar!" She whispered loudly, an huge smile appeared on her face on remembering their sweet and sour encounters. Giving up she flopped on the couch. She didn't know about him but she herself was done pretending that she didn't care. She did care and would do anything for him and would give up everything to keep him safe. to keep their family from breaking apart. She couldn't even explain how blessed she was to have him in her life. He was so precious to her. He was her peace, her sanity, her insanity, her madness, her passion, her desire, the reason behind her strength, courage and determination to go through anything in life. It all started a year ago, she still remembered the day she had met The Shaurya Khanna and her life changed. She was about drift away in the deep ocean of their soulful memories when she suddenly felt her phone vibrate. "Hello!" She picked up the phone on the very first ring. He closed his eyes upon hearing her soft voice echo deep down to his soul.

To be continued - A week later Mehak sat in the corridor of Shaurya Khanna's house. She felt her heart drop to her stomach as she looked at the handsome man clearly for the first time. He was charming. Taller than she remembered him.

Chapter 1

He leaned against the window ledge and looked up into the endless sky, longingly gazing into the distance ahead of him. Suddenly a cold breeze caressed his cheek and a sweet, fresh fragrance surrounded him, reminding him how she smelled like freshly bloomed roses. Sighing he looked around amazed at how she was always there, how she would never leave him. No matter how far he would go, this or the other way he would be surrounded by her thoughts. Struck by a bolt of memories he slumped down into the chair. He took his phone out and looked at the home screen. He had saved her picture as the wallpaper, which she obvisiouly never came to know about. He smiled looking at her beautiful round shaped face, her utterly attractive features, her eyes so large and warm, her lips so perfectly defined. She wasn't just beautiful from the outside but she was an even incredibely beautiful person from the inside. So beautiful deep down to her soul that she would give it her all without any expectations of getting anything in return. "I miss you..." His deep, husky voice echoed through the room. In a short span of time he had built his entire life around her, It had reached a point, where he knew he would never be able to live without her. He wasn't afraid of dying but there was one thing that always terrified him, living his life without her. He never realized before how much he loved her and what she actually meant to him till the day he almost lost her. He realized he could't survive without her. He could never forget the terrifying day when she almost lost her life while saving him. And maybe that's the reason he wanted her to stay away from him. Yet couldn't imagine letting her go. He didn't make sense, his surroundings didn't make sense either, except the way she made his heart feel. The more he tried to push her away, the more he felt himself slipping away. "Kaise jaane doun mein tumhe khudse door, ab tum hee betao." He murmured, pressing the phone against his heart.

It had been quite a while since he had returned to the hotel room he was staying at. It was quite a big luxurious suite, located in a beautiful, quiet part of the town. Just the way he liked it, far away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. He took off his blazer, loosened his tie and leaned back into the comfortable armchair. Sighing he closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. "Sir, your dinner is here." Irritated upon hearing the voice coming from the door, he opened his beautiful dark rich hazel eyes. It was the third time this evening that the room service staff had come with his dinner. "Thank you, but I have told you before I am not feeling like having dinner, so kindly take it back. I will let you know once I need anything." He said looking at the young guy standing at the door. Trying hard to stay polite he decided to stay quiet and nodded his head at him, indicating him to leave the room. He just wanted to be left alone, for sometime. "Shaurya!..." Meanwhile a tall handsome looking guy entered the room looking for Shaurya but instead bumped into the room service staff member. "Shaurya Sir refused to have his dinner again." The guy whispered looking at the visitor. "Thanks for all the efforts mate! I will handle this from here on." He winked and tipped the staff member, closing the door behind. "Shaurya itna andhera kyun kar rakha hai mere bhai!" The young man dropped on the chair next to Shaurya and looked around the dimmed lights. "What are you doing over here Kabir! Kabhi to mujhe akela chod diya karo." Shaurya looked up annoyed at his partner in crime, his human diary, his childhood friend Kabir Khurana. "I have promised someone to take care of you. So I am not leaving you untill I have dropped you safe and sound to whom you belong. Till then I am your caretaker. " Kabir smirked seeing a startled Shaurya looking up at him. "And for God sake! Have your food! Woh mujhe maar dale ghi, if she comes to know that you didn't eat anything since we have arrived here." Kabir raised up his phone to show how many missed calls he had recieved from his house.

"Why don't you just tell her how you feel about her. Kab tak chupaye gha, aisa na ho ke bohat dair ho jaye." Kabir urged his bestfriend to be expressive about his feelings. "And what if she doesn't feel the same way I do?" Asked Shaurya, this one question would haunt him and how he couldn't put into words. The more he wished to know the answer, the more it scared the hell out of him. "Are you kidding me? Aisi kaunsi ladki hai jo Shaurya Khanna se pyaar na karti ho?!" Said Kabir, dramatically. "Wohi to baat hai...She is different from all, she isn't like those other girls who would love me for my status and money." Said Shaurya. Something that made him fall for her even harder. She was the kind of girl who would never give up on her loved ones even if it meant getting hurt again and again. "I wouldn't be surprised if she decides to leave me as I have never given her anything she deserves. A family of her own, just the way she always wanted to have one. " He continued while Kabir shook his head in disbelief. "Are you serious? Uske liye uski family tum ho, tumse jura har rishta uske liye uska apna hai. And I don't get it why you guys can't see what everyone else is able to see, that how much she loves you and how much you love her." Kabir tried to explain. Both his friends were a hopeless case and he had promised himself to make them realize their feelings. "Call her Shaurya, and tell her about your feelings. Sabko life mein dusra chance nahi milta, tujhe mila hai usse jaane mat de." Said Kabir and took his leave giving him the time to think about his decision.

"You will always be the one, no matter what. You will always be the one I will belong to. You will always be the one I will run to. You will always be the one I will dream of. No matter what you will always be my one and only cure. You are and shall remain one I have loved with all my heart and soul and the one I will love till my last breath on and on." He said running his finger over her picture. How he wished he had the courage to say this to her instead of her picture. Taking a deep breath he looked at her number on his contact list. "Biwi" That's how he had saved her number. He loved to call her biwi and he love the way she would make faces upon hearing the word "Biwi". Closing his eyes he pressed his fingers on her name and waited for the ringing to cease and her voice to answer.

"Hello!" She picked up the phone on the very first ring. He closed his eyes upon hearing her soft voice echo deep down to his soul. She didn't look at the caller-id yet could sense his presence on the other side of the phone. A tear trickled down her cheek while she rose to her feet, as the whispering wind touched her face and the world faded away. She smiled through her tears while clutching onto her phone tightly as if holding onto him. The only thing she could feel was her heart beat with his and hear her soul talk to his, in silence. "Shaurya..." She melted from the inside as she called out his name, hoping he would say something. He didn't know if he ever would be able to explain why and how at peace his heart felt while hearing her call his name. What he felt for her inside could never be measured scientifically, because it multiplied too quickly. Her soothing voice was everything he needed at the moment. "How are you?" He said breaking the silence from his side. She moved her head across her shoulder to look at his picture, did he really call her to ask her how she was?! She wasn't fine at all, she could never be fine without him. "Mehak?! Are you there?" He asked. "I LOVE YOU! AND I MISS YOU! DON'T LET ME GO EVEN IF I TELL YOU TO!" Her innerself whispered loudly. She closed her eyes hoping he would get the message. "Huh! Yes, I am fine. How are you?" She said, hiding her disappointement. "My heart aches for you, my arms are restless to hold you, with you that is where I belong." That's what he wanted to say yet couldn't find a way. "I am fine." He whispered softly. "Did you have your dinner?" She asked and he looked at the platter lying on the table. "Don't you even dare lying to me! Got it?!" She continued with her wifely concerns and he smiled to himself enjoying her scolding. "Are you missing me?" He teased. "Why would I miss you? Mr Mujhe aur bhi bohat kaam hain." She giggled in return.

The silence brew once again between them, leaving both of them restless. "Shaurya, keh de aur dair mat kar!" He said to himself and decided confess right there on the phone itselfs! "I want to tell you something." He said. She felt her heart jump in excitement as if knowing exactly what was about to happen. "Haan bolo na!" She slumped back on the couch, holding onto her breath. That's when she heard a knock on the door. She ignored and waited for him to talk. Again she heard a knock and the voice shouted. "Mehak, the lawyer has come to meet you." His heart sank as his mind registered the words coming from the other end. "So she has already called the lawyer." He thought. "Tell him I am not at home!" She shouted back. In the first place she didn't know why he had come at this hour of the evening and nor she was interested in whatever he had to say. Right now nothing was more important than listening to what her husband had to say to her. "Shaurya?!" She said, but to her disappointment the call had been ended. Network issue she thought and called him back. "The number you have dialed is currently switched off." She heard the annoying voice. She panicked on realizing he might have heard about the lawyer, but that's what he wanted right?! She sighed on thinking how difficult it was to understand him at times. Once upon a time she could kill him without any regret. That's how annoyed she used to feel around him. Getting rid of him was her biggest wish but she never imagined one day she would regret wishing that.

It all started a year ago, She still remembered the day she met Shaurya Khanna and her life changed forever. Everytime she would think about her past, it would make her realize how it turned out to be a very long journey, a journey full of surprises. A year ago she had nothing. She didn't have a place to live, no food to eat and not even a penny in her purse. She didn't know what was going to happen and what she was supposed to do. She had lost all her hopes, in short didn't want to live anymore. She was on the verge of ending her life, but she had to live, because she had the resposibility of her younger brother on her shoulders.

She always wanted to have a house, to have a family & ofcourse to find the love of her life. It was just a dream a beautiful dream which she knew was never going to be full filled, untill one day she met him! Today after a whole year when she looks back she realizes how much she has gained. She has everything, once upon a time she had wished for. She has her own house, a loving family and the most important person in her live, her husband. She didn't even know what she did to deserve him. He was the reason of her entire excistence, her happiness. His handsome face flashed infront of her eyes and she went back to the time where it all started from.

Flashback - A year ago

"Mehak! You have been crying since an hour, tell me na baba what happened?" Asked Mehak's bestfriend Sonal Kabir Khurana who was trying to get Mehak to speak about the problem but no Mehak won't budge. "Did something happen at your office? Your boss or is it your landlord?" A worried Sonal tried once again. Mehak started to cry even harder. "I lost my job Sonal and the stupid landlord kicked me out." Said a crying Mehak in between her tears. "What?! But why?!" Said a shocked Sonal. "My boss is such a loser! He said they don't need me anymore." Mehak couldn't stop crying. Mehak had been working in a restaurant called "The Delight" since a year now and one fine day, out of nowhere she was kicked out, according to the management she didn't have the kind if skills they expected from an assistant chef. "What about your Landlord? I thought he was a nice guy." Said an amused Sonal. Mehak looked up for the first time since they were talking. "Yeaah he was nice untill he found someone who would pay the rent twice the amount I pay and ofcourse the fact that I couldn't pay the rent on time triggered him even more." Said a dejected Mehak. Sonal couldn't believe her ears. "What?! You didn't pay the rent! But how? Didn't you get your salary?" Mehak rose up to her feet from the spot she had been sitting since an hour and walked to the window. It was so dark outside just like the darkness in her life, even the moon decided to hide away. She took a deep breath and finally spoke "Aditya, I chose to pay Adi's school fee, instead the rent." Now even Sonal had tears in her eyes. "Aww my poor baby." She went up to Mehak and took her into a bone crushing hug. "Tu pagal hai! Mujhse keh deti hum kya alag hain? We have known each others since so many years. Adi sirf tera nahi mera bhi bhai hai." Mehak smiled through her tears and hugged her back. "Jaanti houn, I don't want to be a burden on anyone. Not on you neither on Chacha and chachi. Maa aur papa ke jaane ke baad, they have done alot for me. They have a family of their own to look after, so many responsibilities aur phir meri aur Adi ki bhi responsibility. I can't be this selfish. They actually think their ladoo is leading a good life and I want it to keep it that way." Sonal looked up at Mehak's tear streaked face and couldn't believe she wasn't there when she needed her the most. She pressed her face against Mehak's face wanting to take all her problems away. "Tum humpe kabhi boj nahi ban sakti, samjhi!" Mehak smiled at her adorable and the worlds bestfriend. "Haan baba samajh gayi, but what am I going to do now? I am jobless and homeless!" Said a sulking Mehak.

Mehak Sharma was a struggling young girl who came all the way from Patiala to Mumbai to pursue her career. She was an orphan and had a younger brother, she had grown up in her home town by her two Chachu's and Chachi's. After her parents passed away a few years ago and her brother started going to school she finally started thinking about herself. All she wanted was to be a head Chef in one of the best restaurants of Mumbai and wanted a caring man. He didn't necessarily have to be rich. But definitely a loving and caring person. But for now destiney had other plans for her.

"Who is jobless?!" Came a voice from the end of the corridor. They both turned around to look at the door, there he was! Mr Funnybones aka Kabir Khurana, Sonal's husband. "Let me guess! Akhir kaar Mehak Sharma ke boss ne himmat haar di aur Mehak Sharma ka tata byebye ho gaya." Said Kabir trying hard to hold onto his laughter. Mehak picked up a cushion from the sofa and threw at Kabir, hitting right on his face. "Kabir!" Sonal shook her head and rolled her eyes at her not so funny husband. "jeeejjuuu! It's not funny! What am I going to do now? Where am I suppose to live? I hope this won't effect Adi, I really don't want him to be kicked out of the school. I can't let this happen." Said a broken Mehak. Seeing her like this was something new for Kabir, it was the very first time he saw Mehak so hopeless and broken. "Hey hey! Yeh mein kya sun raha houn, hum jis Mehak ko jaante hain, she has never learnt to lose hope." Said Kabir. "I know jeeju but..." Even before she could compelete her sentence Kabir spoke up. "But wut kuch nahi, I do have a job for you..." Suddenly he stopped talking, trying to avoid any contact with them he looked everywhere but at the two ladies sitting infront of him. "What kind of job?!" A curious Sonal and a surprised Mehak screamed in unison. "I don't know if u will be able to do it or let me say will agree to do." Said Kabir not so sure if it was the right time to tell her about it. "Kabir is waqt mere liye job ka hona bohat zaroori hai, phir woh koi bhi job ho. I am ready to do anything." Said Mehak. At this point of time having a job was more important than getting into what kind of job it was. Kabir took a moment, taking a deep breath he looked at Mehak. "Okay fine! I will pick you up tomorrow morning at sharp 9, be ready don't be late." He said promising to take her for the interview the next day. Mehak was no doubt really curious to know where and whom she was going to work for but she knew Kabir would never ask her to do something she isn't comfortable doing. "Thank you so much jeeju! U are a savior!" Said Mehak heaving a sigh of relief. However looking at Kabir's uneasy expressions Sonal knew there was something fishy going on with this sudden job offer, she didn't say anything because she had seen the happiness on Mehak's face after a long time. Sonal didn't want to spoil her best friends good mood. So she decide to talk to Kabir lateron in the evening. After a good debate Mehak agreed to live with the Khurana's till she finds a job and a place to live.

After everyone retired to their respective rooms Sonal decided to talk to Kabir about the thing she noticed outside. "Kabir tum mujhse kuch chupa to nahi rahe na?" Kabir who was engrossed in his file looked up in surprise. "Main? Aur kuch tumse chupa paon aisa kabhi ho sakta hai kya? Said Kabir raising his eyebrow at his beloved wife. "Kabir, did you already know about Mehak being sacked from her job?? Asked Sonal. "What are you talking about, how would I know about it." Said Kabir as if he didn't know what she was talking about. "Bano mat! You very well know what I am talking about, so spill the beans. Before I get you thrown out of the room!" Sonal threatened Kabir. She knew it very well how to get him spill the beans. "Hold on! Meri jhansi ki rani, don't u trust me?" Said Kabir taking her hands in his hands. "Tumhe lagta hai mein Mehak ke saath kuch bura hone de sakta houn?" Said Kabir looking into her eyes. Sonal took a deep breath and sighed. "Kabir, for me Mehak isn't just a friend, she is a sister I always wanted to have. Dar lagta hai mujhe, usne pehle hee bohat kuch saha hai...aur nahi Kabir. I really don't want her to get hurt, woh dikhati hai jaise usmein bohat himmat hai but under se woh toot chuki hai." Said a teary eyed Sonal.

Sonal and Mehak were friends since the time they were in school. Even then she used to be really protective over Mehak. After school Sonal and her parents shifted to Mumbai and Mehak stayed in Patiala. After Mehak's parents dismiss, Mehak came to Mumbai looking for a job, that's when they met again after ages. Since then Sonal has always been there with Mehak at every step. She helped her in finding a job and an apartement to live. In short Mehak and Sonal were soul sisters.

Kabir smiled looking up at his loving wife with all the love he had for her, she was in tears because her friend was in pain which she couldn't bear at all. He always wondered what he actually did to deserve a life partner like her. "Sonal, don't worry about Mehak, she will be alright. It's a good paid job, she even won't have to worry about the rent. They are going to give her a place to live. They will take care of all the expensess. Even Adi's future is going to be secured." Assured Kabir. An amused Sonal raised her eyebrow. Even before she could open her mouth to say something, he interrupted. "Waise bhi jab bhaiya ki baat aati hai to woh kabhi bhi kisi ke saath bura nahi hone dete." Said a confident Kabir with a different kind of pride in his voice. "Bhaiya? You mean Shaurya bhaiya?" A startled Sonal asked looking surprisingly at Kabir. Kabir sighed and nodded his head. "Yes, Shaurya bhaiya. Tum fikar mat karo kal tumhe sab pata chal jaye gha, but trust me she is going to be fine." He tried to explain. She took a sigh of relief, knowing Mehak was in safe hands. "I hope you are right Kabir." She looked at him with hopeful eyes. He smiled and took her into his arms. "Of course meri jaan sab theek ho ga." He pressed his lips against her head while she drifted off to sleep. "I hope I am right." He whispered to himself and drifted off into a deep slumber.

On the other side Mehak who was ready to sleep in her cute PJ's, thinking where tomorrow her destiny would lead her. She smiled thinking how tonight after a long time she would be sleeping peacefully. Hoping for a new day filled with blessings of God she fell asleep with a broad smile on her beautiful face.

Next morning, Mehak woke up to a beeping alarm clock. The earliest sunbeams touched her slumbering face, painting her forehead crimson. With a disturbed frown, she threw a slender arm across her eyes, shielding it from the wicked sun.
The sun relented and sprinkled golden showers on her lovely form, caressing her delicate features. She had a perfectly piquant heart-shaped face with little nose, a pointed determined chin and a Cupid's bow mouth. Long dusky eyelashes rested on flushed cheeks, a sweet smile played on her curved lips. There was a different kind of glow on her face which wasn't going to leave her anytime soon.
Her eyes opened, really beautiful wide chocolate brown eyes, shining with the innocence of an angel and the mischief of an imp. She smiled brightly, recollecting her beautiful dream of having a loving family, a loving husband. She stood up and went to the washroom with a fresh mind and was eager to know where Kabir was going to take her for the job. Within 20 minutes she came out wearing a blue jumpsuit, Her long black hair neatly tied in a ponytail. Picked up her bag and walked towards the breakfast table.

At the breakfast table she happily greeted Sonal and Kabir. "Good morning!" Said a chirpy Mehak. They both smiled seeing in her old happy avatar and greeted her back. "She better not get hurt Mr husband!" Sonal whispered to Kabir. "Your wish is my command Mrs Khurana." He smiled and got up from his seat pressing his lips against her cheek, leaving a flushed Sonal and a giggling Mehak behind. "Awww! You guys are so cute!" Mehak couldn't stop giggling. "Cute ki bachi ab chalo interview ke liye dair ho jaye ghi. Best of luck! " Sonal wished her while dropping off to the door.

"Kabir where are we going to? You didn't tell me anything about the job. Atleast yeh to betao who am I going to work for? What if they ask me some questions about the company, I don't even know what the company is all about." Said a worried Mehak. "Don't worry Mehak, I have told them everything. They won't ask u any questions regarding the company or anything you don't know the answer to." Said Kabir. Mehak was left confused. What kind of interview was it supposed to be, if they weren't going to ask her anything. She wanted to say something but Kabir interrupted not letting her speak. "Ab tum chup chaap behto aur kuch mat poocho, you will get to know everything once we have reached there." Said Kabir, hoping she would stop her jagga jasoosi. Mehak shook her head in confusion and decided to not ask any questions and stared out of the window. Half an hour later they stood outside Khanna Builders and Developers. It was a huge building, one of the tallest buildings Mehak had ever seen. She was amazed seeing how beautifuly it was constructed. "Kabir, is this the place I am going to work at?" Asked a very excited Mehak. Even before he could say anything his phone rang. "Yess bhaiya, we have just arrived, yes she has come too, I will see you inside." Mehak's focuss went from the building to the phone conversation of Kabir. One thing she knew was they were talking about her but what exactly she didn't know. She raised her eyebrow once Kabir looked up at her. Kabir smiled sheepishly. "Let's go, your new boss has been eagerly waiting for you." Said Kabir. An already confused Mehak got a little bit uneasy upon hearing "your new boss is waiting for you" What's going on?! And how come he is already my boss?! Am I already hired even before the interview?!" Mehak was going nuts with so many questions going around in her mind. "Mehak chalo! I will tell you everything." Said Kabir, taking Mehak by her hand.

As soon as Mehak and Kabir entered the building they were greated by a lady & were led to a conference room. They were asked to be seated & were served with coffee and tea. Mehak was already so nervous and the person they were waiting for wasn't showing up. "So are you even planning to tell me what's going on overhere?!" Asked a frustrated Mehak. Just when Kabir wanted to speak, they saw a tall figure entering the room. He was extremely tall, maybe six feet even? The figure walked up their way very slowly and came stand right infront of Mehak. That's when she saw his face. Handsome, was definitely not the word for him. He was more than handsome. Absolutely exquisite. Royal even. He looked for a brief second at Mehak with those deep dark hazel brown eyes, and then shifted his gaze onto Kabir. "Shaurya...!" Kabir called out his name. With a broad smirk on his face he went up to the guy and took him into a hug. She was so damn confused, didn't even know what was going on.

"Kaisa hai tu." He asked Kabir. His voice was so deep and attractive, it left her with goosebumps. "Mein to theek houn, where have you been. You just disappeared like that, no phone calls, no messages." Said Kabir. He looked amused at Shaurya on not getting any response, he tilted his and found Shaurya staring at something behind him. Kabir turned around and saw a clueless Mehak looking at both of them with her big confused eyes. "Oooh, crap how can I forget you." He walked up to Mehak and turned to look at Shaurya. "Mehak meet your boss Shaurya Khanna. the Managing Director of Khanna Builders and Developers, a company that develops real estate for apartments, hotel chains and resorts all over the country."

Precap - "Mr Shaurya Khanna! Do you think this is some kind of a joke!" Mehak's face flushed in anger. "Are you out of your mind! You really think I am going to agree to this." She screamed at the top of her lungs. "Tum aise nahi maano ghi right?! Don't blame me for the consequences." He broke the silence. After being silent for almost 10 minutes, since she had started with her long speech. He finally decided to shut her up. He pushed her against the wall and looked into her eyes.

Chapter 2

"Mehak meet your boss Shaurya Khanna, the Managing Director of Khanna Builders and Developers". She picked up his picture, sat down on the bed and smiled upon hearing his name echo in her ears. "Gosh what a day it was! Full of mystery just like her mystery man." She shook her head thinking how a new ray of hope turned her whole world upside down. How once upon a time stranger became her everything. He was so precious to her. Sometimes she really wished if only she would have enough time to tell him how much he meant to her. He was the spark in her eyes, the twinkling smile on her lips, the one who added colors and meaning to her life, he was the purpose of her living. He was her everything, without him she was nothing. She smiled remembering him. "Kya soch ker muskraye ja rahi hain Mrs Khanna?" A melodious voice coming from the end of the room took her out of her dreamland. "What are you doing overhere?! Tumhe doctor ne youn chalne phirne se manna kiya hai na!" Said Mehak, while turning around to see Sonal standing at the door. She rushed towards the door shaking her head at her 8 months pregnant friend. "Jab tum ho mere saath mera khyaal rakhne ke liye to phir kya tension hai! I know Kabir took a promise that he is going to take care of Shaurya, If you promise to take care of me." Teased Sonal. While Mehak shook her head, pretending to be unaware of it."Mr Khanna bache thodi na hain jo unka khyaal koi rakhe gha." Said Mehak, innocently. "By the way, Kabse awaaz laga rahi thi tumhe! The lawyer had come to meet you, the poor guy just left a while ago." Complained Sonal. Mehak gently took hold of Sonal and helped her walk towards the bed. "Naam mat lo us khambakht ka mere saamne!" Mehak rolled her eyes in annoyance. "What happened? I thought you had invited him to home." Asked an amused Sonal. Sulking in disappointment she dropped next to Sonal and rested her head on her friends shoulder. "No I didn't! Maybe Mr Khanna might have called him, but I guess he had to attend this sudden conference of his." Sighed Mehak.

"I just spoke to Kabir and according to him Shaurya bhaiya didn't have any appointement with the lawyer." Said Sonal, looking down at Mehak's face. "Really??" Mehak looked up at Sonal with hopefull eyes. "Bohat pyaar karti ho na unse?" Sonal smiled upon seeing Mehak's eyes lit up upon hearing the question. "Will you be ever able to let go off him? Ek baar phir sochlo Mehak, tum chali gayi to yeh ghar ek baar phirse bikhar jaye gha." Said Sonal, hoping her friend would change her mind. "Mein rahoun yan na rahoun, it doesn't really matter. Shaurya Khanna is the firm foundation of this family. Ager usse kuch ho gaya to sab khatam ho jaye gha." She said looking at the smiling faces of their family members in the picture hanging on the wall. "Everything will be over Sonal...I will be over. Usse door rehna mujhe manzoor hai, but I can't let anyone hurt him." She continued with a broken voice. "Mehak, don't you think he deserves to know about what you are upto. Afterall it's not only about you, but it's about him and about his daughters aswell." Sonal tried to explain how her decission would effect everyone. "Ek faisla Mr Khanna ne kiya tha, mujhe zabardasti apni zindagi mein lane ka. Ek faisla meine liya hai, khud ko is rishte se azaad karne ka." She said, trying hard to hold onto her tears. "Mehak tu pagal hai! You didn't even let me tell this to Kabir! He will disown me, ager usse pata chala ke mujhe pehle se tumhare plan ke bare mein pata tha!" Whined Sonal. "Forget about everything! Tell me about the names you have thought for this little one." Mehak changed the topic in order to divert Sonal's attention. "Heyy little one! Your massi is really eager to hold you in her arms! Come soon!" She wishpered sweet nothings, leaning gentely over Sonal's baby bump.

Very lovingly she carressed the baby bump, thinking how even she wanted to have a child of her own. Although Sana, Sanjana and Sia had already given birth to the mother that never existed inside her. But she really wanted to experience the feeling of a new life growing inside her, a life that would be a part of her and his existence. She remembered how she never wanted to marry someone who would have grown up kids. She always craved to have a family of her own, where she wouldn't have to worry about sharing her rights with anyone. Destiny had truely other plans for her, that day within in an hour her life changed and she ended up with a responsibility of 3 kids with an annoying khadoos, karela king for free! She chuckled thinking how that day she had gone for a job inteview and had herself stuck because of her stupidity. Shaking her head she drifted back to the day she had met him.

"Mehak meet your boss Shaurya Khanna, the Managing Director of Khanna Builders and Developers, a company that develops real estate for apartments, hotel chains and resorts all over the country." Kabir introduced Mehak to her new boss. "Khanna Builders and Developers?! What am I even suppossed to do overhere? Mujhe to bas khana banana ata hai aur khana ata hai!... Receptionist maybe?" Thought Mehak. She had a million questions going on in her mind. She was a great chef but performing administrative tasks like answering phones, and receiving visitors that wasn't her cup of tea for sure. "Mehak ziada mat soch! Tujhe is job ki zaroorat hai, kuch bhi ho is job ko haath se jaane mat dena." She kept reminding herself why she needed this job. "Mehak?!...Mehak are you alright?!" Kabir nudged her, getting her out of her thoughts. "Huh! Yaa...I am...I am alright." She stuttered in embarrassment. "Nice to meet you Ms Sharma, Kabir se bohat sunna hai aapke bare mein." Said Shaurya, extending his hand for a handshake. Smiling nervously, she stared at his hand for a while and slid her hand in his for a quick handshake. She opened her mouth to greet him back but for some reason couldn't find the words. It felt like his firm hold on her hand had stolen all the existing words from her dictionary. Being the chirpy confident girl, behaving shy was so unlike her. It could be the effect of his huge frame infront of her or the warmth of his grip on her hand, her mind was indeed all over the place. She looked down at their entwined hands and then up into his hazel coloured eyes. He looked so familiar, felt very familiar, as if she knew him. His twinkling eyes pierced through her like a bolt of lightning, making her instantly pull her hand back. She looked away, rubbing her arm up and down like she was trying to brush away the goose bumps his presence had given her. "Yeh mujhe kya ho raha?! No! Mehak Sharma focus! Focus on the job!" She heard her innerself screaming. "Take a seat Ms Sharma." He gestured her to take a seat infront of him. Smiling nervously she sat down. "I will be back in a bit.. You will be fine Mehak, don't worry. Bachpan ka dost hai mera, I trust him more than I trust anyone in this world... not even myself. " Kabir whispered to Mehak and excused himself for a while to attend a phone call.

"Why did it take you so long to pick up my call?!" Screamed Sonal from the other side of the phone. "Sonal yaar! I told you I will keep you updated. There is something called patience, joh tum mein bilkul bhi nahi hai." Said Kabir walking out of the conference room, while Sonal rolled her eyes on the other side. "Mujhe nahi pata lekin kuch toh galat hai. My sixth sense is telling me again and again that there is something that is not right at all." Explained a worried Sonal. "Sonal meri jaan, she is alright. Aur woh koi choti bachi nahi hai, usse khud ko aur situation ko sambhaalna ata hai." Said Kabir, trying to assure his worried wife. "But Kabir Mehak hee kyun? Why is she getting involved in this?" Said a worried Sonal. "And does Karuna aunty even know what her beloved son is upto?" Continued Sonal. "To be honest I have no idea, I actually thought this way Mehak and Shaurya both their problem would get solved. But I know aisa koi raita nahi jo Shaurya samait na sakke, woh sab theek kar dega." Said Kabir unaware of the upcoming storm. "I hope you are right, kuch bhi garbar hui to tumhe ghar se nikaal doun ghi! Yaad rakhna!" Giggled Sonal. "Ghar se toh nikaal lo ghi, par jaaneman dil se kaise nikalo ghi!" Said Kabir with a husky chuckle. "I love you." She said, blowing kisses into the telephone.

While Kabir was busy attending the call, Mehak and Shaurya sat in silence. Waiting for someone to break the silence, he pretended to read a file and she looked around the room, admiring silently the classy interior. Now and then she kept looking at the figure sitting infront of her, hoping he would break the silence. The brewing silence between them was increasing her nervousness even more. After a good 10 minutes of silence Shaurya decided to break the ice. "So Ms. Sharma, let's come to the point. I don't know what Kabir has told you but I am about to give you a huge responsibility. I hope you won't disappoint me." Said Shaurya Khanna, pulling an envelope out of the inside pocket of his blazer. With every passing second Mehak could feel her heartbeat increase. "Sir I really need this job and I am willing to do anything. Mein aapko shikayat ka mauka nahi doun ghi." She finally mustered some courage to speak up. He couldn't help but smile, hearing her voice for the first time since they had met. Kabir was right she might look petite and naive but the courage, the confidence in her voice was impressive enough to make him believe that she was the right person. "Good! Ms. Sharma." He said, opening the envelope. He pulled out a couple of pictures and passed them one by one across the table. She looked down amused at the first picture infront of her. It belonged to three young girls, most probably they were sisters, other than the age difference they looked quite similar to each other. After a while her focuss shifted to the other 3 pictures, which were placed with their backsides up and each one of them had something written on it. "I know you might be having a lots of questions going on in your mind about these pictures, to whom they belong and how it is connected to your job. Let me already tell you, your job is going to revolve around them." Said Shaurya, increasing Mehak's level of curiosity.

"Sana Khanna, 15 years old." Read Mehak, picking up the first picture. Mehak turned around to see the picture and realized she was one of the girls from the previous picture. Sana Khanna was a tall girl, with long wavy dark brown hair and had breathtakingly beautiful features. "Sanjana Khanna, 12 years old." Mehak turned towards the second picture. Where as Sana looked very stylish on the other side Sanjana Khanna had a very tomboyish look, she wasn't that tall, had medium length brown hair, big round hazel eyes. In her black sweatpants and a white cotton shirt, the girl almost resembled someone Mehak had seen before. "Shaurya Khanna! She resembles Mr Khanna." Thought Mehak. Realizing the resemblance between the girl and Shaurya, her eyes instantly shifted towards him. What could be the connection between the two of them, she wondered. And what exactly has she to do with all of them. "Could she be his daughter?! Nayy he looks way to young to be a father of a 12 year old. Though he could be her brother." Thought Mehak. Sighing she wondered if this day could get any more confusing than it already was. "Kahan phas gayi houn mein, interview dene ayi thi, lekin yahan pata nahi mujhse kaunsa puzzle solve karwane ke chakar main hain Mr Khanna." Mehak shook her head, confused at the mystery behind the pictures. Without wasting much time she looked at the last picture and turned it around. "Sia Khanna, 4 years old." An adorable looking little girl with big soft eyes, light brown long curls and with the most innocent smile ever. A broad smile broke out on Mehak's face looking at the pretty girl. It reminded Mehak of her own childhood.

"I am sorry guys, had to attend this call." Kabir entered the room, apologizing for his sudden absence. Mehak took a sigh of relief upon hearing Kabir enter the room. She realized all this while she had been holding her breath, as more than a job interview it felt like she was on a mission to solve a case. She looked up at Kabir helplessly hoping he would have the answers to her questions and an explanation to everything that was happening. "Kabir, I am so confused...Ab to bata do yeh sab kya ho raha hai? And who are these three girls?" Mehak whispered to Kabir while he took a seat beside her. Kabir eyes softened and a smile appeared on his face looking at the pictures. "This is the very adorable Khanna trio. They are Shaurya's..." Before Kabir could finish his sentence he got interrupted. "My daughters..." Said Shaurya, while Mehak raised her eyebrow upon hearing Shaurya Khanna interrupt Kabir. "They are my daugters." He repeated looking at a slightly baffled Kabir. "What!! They are your daughters?! All of them?!" Asked a surprised Mehak. She looked down at the pictures and then back at Shaurya. Scratching his head smiling sheepishly, Kabir nodded his head agreeing with Shaurya. Unbelievable she thought. "I have been silent all this while but can I know what am I suppossed to do? What's the connection between my job and your daughters?" Asked Mehak, with an perplexed look on her face. "They aren't just my daughters, they are my everything. Unfortunately I can't be there for them all the time as my busy schedule keeps me on my toes all the time. That's why I have been looking for a care taker, someone who would agree to take up their full responsibility." He said, looking at Mehak. "What about their mother?" Asked a curious Mehak. "You don't need to know anything regarding their mother." He said, with a blank expression on his face. "Khadoos!" Murmured a very annoyed Mehak. "Excuse me? Did I hear you say something?" Asked Shaurya. "No..no I..I didn't." She said, shrugging her shoulder. "Alright, I won't ask about their mother, but can I know, why me? I don't even have an experience in handling kids and here you are giving me responsibilty of teenagers. Why would you choose me to be their care-taker? She asked, looking at both of them taken aback. "Mehak, we have been searching for a care-taker since a long time now. When I came to know about you being sacked from your job, I instantly knew you would be the best choice as the care-taker." Explained Kabir. "The way you have been looking after Adi that too single-handedly is remarkable." Continued Kabir. "Ms. Sharma, it's all up to you. Haan yan naa aapki marzi hai, but don't forget you are in need of a job." Said Shaurya, hiding his grin. "Kabir mujhe tujse kuch baat karni hai. This way even Ms. Sharma will get some time to think about what she wants." Shaurya said to Kabir, looking towards Mehak, trying hard to figure out her answer from her expressions. But the poor girl was too confused to be in a state of mind to think anything.

Before leaving the room he turned around and picked up a file from the desk. "This is the agreement with the rules, regulations and a few important clauses." He said, placing the file infront of her. Startled she looked at the file, taking a deep breath she extended her hand to open the file. The moment she turned the folder his hand came down on the file preventing her to read anything. "I am not done yet, Ms. Sharma. Let me remind you, don't forget to read each and every clause carefully before you have decided to sign on the papers because once you have signed it you won't be allowed to step back." He continued in a firm voice, leaving a chill down her spine. As soon as Kabir and Shaurya left the room, she closed her eyes as confusion spiraled through her mind, everything seemed to be moving around her. To keep her balance she quickly held onto the chair. Everything about Shaurya Khanna was strange enough to make her say no to this job as she was already surrounded by many problems. She didn't want to get into another trouble. "Di! New semester sar per hai. I will have to buy new books and there is this course I really want to follow." Adi's voice echoed through her mind. "Mehak puttar, tujhe apni zindagi mein itni tarakki karte dekh mujhe kitni khushi hoti hai, mein bayaan nahi kar sakti. Bhabhi hoti to kitna kush hoti." Kanta Chachi! Whispered Mehak. "I trust him more than I trust anyone in this world... not even myself." Mehak looked down at the file upon hearing Kabir's words for Shaurya Khanna. "Come on Mehak! At this point of time you are in need of a job. Bin maange tujhe yeh job offer hui hai! You can't let it go! Sign the papers! Shaurya Khanna teri har problem ka solution hai. Take the offer!" Her innerself urged her to accept the job offer. Wiping her sweaty palms over the legs of her jumpsuit, she grabbed the pen.

"What!! Are you mad?! Tumne plan change kar diya! Aur mujhe bataya bhi nahi?!" A shocked Kabir almost screamed in utter disbelief. "I know what I am doing Kabir, don't you trust me?" Said Shaurya, while looking at her through the glass wall from the green room that was connected to the conference room. She was looking tensed and for some reason he didn't like seeing her distressed. After today she would hate him and even that feeling kind a pierced through his heart. He closed his eyes and shrugged of the feeling as it wasn't as important as the security off his daughters. "Exactly that's what I told her a while ago that I trust you more than I trust myself! She is never going to sign those papers." Said a tensed Kabir. "Ager usse tumhare trust per trust hai to woh yeh papers bina parhe hee sign karde ghi." Said a confident Shaurya, knowing how vulnerable she was at the moment. "I promised Sonal that I won't let anyone hurt Mehak! Not even you...Aur yahan tu uski jaan khatre mein daal raha hai! tu mera dost hai is liye keh raha houn, don't do it! It's a very bad idea!" Said Kabir disturbed at the consequences. "Sonal ne ghar se nikaal bhi diya toh mein houn na, you can always come and live with me." Chuckled Shaurya. "Dost hai yan dushman!" Said Kabir nudging Shaurya's shoulder. "And it's not even about Sonal. It's about that poor innocent girl who came here with a ray of hope in her eyes. Ab mein woh bhi usse cheen loun? We shouldn't drag her into this mess." Said Kabir. "I won't let anything happen to her, but this is the only way to get her into Khanna Mansion. This way no one will be able to get her out of the house, jaise pehli 3 care- takers ko bhaga chuke hain woh. I can't let them ruin my plan again and again." This time Shaurya had a solid plan and no one could make him change his decision not even Kabir, his friend.

Kabir and Shaurya, two friends one soul. They had known each other since school days and had been bestfriends ever since. Although Shaurya was a few years senior to Kabir yet it clicked like they were long lost brothers. They knew each other better than anyone else could. Where as for Kabir, Shaurya was nothing less than an elder brother, his guide, his idol he always looked upto. For Shaurya, Kabir was his human diary, his partner in crime, the one who would stick to him even on the stormiest of nights.

Kabir shook his head knowing it was impossible to argue with the Shaurya Khanna. "I am sorry Shaurya but I can't let this happen!" Said Kabir before storming out of the room hoping Mehak would read the papers before putting her signatures anywhere. "I am sorry too Kabir, I wish I could tell you the truth..." Wishpered Shaurya, looking at the closed door. "Mehak wait!!" Kabir rushed into the conference room. "Wait for what?" She turned around with the file in her hands. Looking at the file in her hand Kabir's face lost it's color. With a thumping heart he walked up to her and took the file from her hands. In the meantime even Shaurya turned back to the room. "Did you read them? Sign kar diye?" Kabir asked before turning to the first page. Taking a deep breath Mehak closed her eyes. "Yeah I have signed the agreement. It's impressive the amount of salary, free accommodation and facilities, that to for the job of a care taker. It's a great deal. I will be forever thankful of Mr Khanna." He heard her say. The way she looked over at him, her head slightly tilted, her eyes filled with emotions, the breathtaking smile on her lips. Everything pierced through his skin deep down to his soul, leaving scars that wouldn't heal that soon."Are you sure you read the papers?" Kabir asked, hurriedly looking through all the papers. To his surprise each and every page had her signatures. "You said you trust him more than anyone in the world, that's enough for me to trust him aswell..." Said Mehak like a matter of fact. Kabir cursed himself silently for unknowingly getting Mehak into this mess. "How can you be this careless Mehak! When will you learn from your mistakes, trusting someone blindly isn't the right way." Said Kabir with a sigh. "Thank you Ms. Sharma. I will see you at Khanna Mansion tomorrow sharp at 8. Don't be late..I hate latecomers." Said Shaurya. While he grabbed the file out Kabir's hand, a few documents flew out of the file and fell onto the floor, right infront of Mehak. Kabir closed his eyes while Shaurya quickly bent down to collect the papers, but Mehak had already bent down to pick up the papers, that's when something caught her eyes. "1 Year Marriage Agreement" She felt the ground slip beneath her feet. She held her breath while her mind registered the words. "I, Mehak Sharma, hereby willingly agree to be in a one year contract marriage with Mr Shaurya Khanna." She read with a shaky voice and then she looked down at her signature. "You guys are kidding me... right?!" She looked at them in utter shock. "No it's not a joke Ms. Sharma and I had warned you to read the agreement carefully, but I guess you are destined to do this job. You needed job and I needed a care taker for my kids and my house, then why can't we help another out?!" Spoke Shaurya. "Ohh God!! How can I be so dumb!! I didn't read a word written on any of the papers, but I can't agree to this." She thought, cursing herself for being so irresponsible. She could already feel her dream of having a happy family go down the drain. "I am not doing this..." She turned around to leave. "Mehak Sharma! Let me remind you something as you haven't read the agreement at all, but there is this clause which is every important for you to know. If Ms Sharma ever decides to step back, she will have to pay a fine." Said Shaurya making sure Mehak had no other choice left. She looked up at him with her tear streaked. "Mujhe ghar jana hai Kabir." She murmured in a broken voice and spun around to run out of the room, as fast as she could she ran out of the building.

"I am sorry Mehak! It's all my fault. I wish I would have known about it. Mujhe pata hota to mein tumhe kabhi wahan le kar nahi jata." Said a guilt-ridden Kabir. "No Kabir, It's not your fault! Tum to bas meri help kar rahe the." Cried Mehak. "Meri toh kismat hee kheraab hai. Every time! Every single time! Things get messed up!" She continued crying. "One frappuccino, three chocolate muffins, two veg- sandwiches and one mango juice...and you Kabir? She said looking at Kabir and the flabbergasted waiter of the cafe they had come to. "What?!!" She asked, wipping her tears in annoyance. "No thanks, that's it." Said Kabir, nodding his head at the waiter. "Ab kya karein gey? Itne khwaab the mere, meri shaadi ko le kar aur ab dekho ho bhi rahi hai to kis se! A father of 3 daughters! Though he looks very young! Still I can't believe it! Seriously! One year marriage agreement. I AM NOT DOING THIS!!" Mehak started crying again. "Mehak, stop crying yaar! Sonal maar daale ghi mujhe!" At this point of time Kabir was more concerned about Sonal and her female hitler avatar. "Don't worry about Sonal, I won't tell her anything about what happened at Khanna builders today." Mehak assured Kabir. "Bata dena apne dost ko, chahe kuch bhi ho jaye mein is agreement ko nahi maanti! Us ne jaante hue bhi mujhe pura sach nahi betaya! Loser!" Only she knew how many times in her head she had killed him. "Look Mehak I will be really honest with you about Shaurya. Usne ne jo bhi kia galat kia lekin uska irada galat nahi hai. He is in a big trouble and you are the person who can help him get out of this trouble. In return he is taking up your and Adi's full responsibility." Kabir tried to explain. "Just meet him once more, he will explain everything!" Continued Kabir. "Oooh greatt!! Mr Khanna finally realized that I need an explanation." She laughed sarcastically. "Please Mehak! Ek baar mere liye?" Kabir pleaded. "My dear jeeju, aapke hee trust ke chakkar main, mein is musibat mein phass gayi houn kya woh kam hai? I don't want to see his face, nor I want to hear anything about him." She picked up her bag and left with a determination of finding another job.

"Mehak! We are leaving! Don't forget to lock the door!" Sonal shouted from the hallway. Kabir and Sonal were going out on a date planned by the one and only Mehak Sharma. "Yeaah I won't! Have fun my love birds!" Mehak winked at the couple in love. She had made peace with the fact that she had gotten herself into trouble and she was ready to face it! Even if it meant fighting the mighty Shaurya Khanna, but she won't give up infront of anyone. She locked the door and danced her way to the kitchen, her happy place! She had just put the pan on the stove when the doorbel rang disturbing her lone time. "I am coming!! Have patience!" She came down running the hallway to the door as the doorbell kept ringing. "YOU!! What are you doing overhere!!" She screamed as soon as she opened the door and saw the surprise visitor.

To be continued on Sunday - Mr Shaurya Khanna!

Interesting story...i really loving the style of your writing...
Lots of unanswered question is bugging in my mind, are they really sk's daughters?...why shaurya needed a wife for 1 year...why they are now decided to drift apart though they love each other?
Eagerly waiting for the next chapter...please update soon...

Best wishes,
Lima
