CHAPTER 22

Mehek kept their passports safely into her handbag and sighed looking around the room before leaving. Pari still didn't know that they are leaving her dearest Shaurie forever. "Mehek", her train of thoughts were broken by his Shaurya's voice. She tried to look normal and gave him a wide smile. "So all set to leave", he tried to add a weak preface to which she just nodded. "I have a request, Mehek", he told her. 'Ofcourse you will have one. An idiotic wicked one to keep me bound to you. But I will never accept it',she held her head high ready to fight him. "Will you allow me to keep in touch with Pari ? I promise it will be occasionally. I assure I will never disturb your peace", he appealed. Mehek was astonished bcoz she never expected it. He was letting her go and just needed a favour to communicate with the child they both cared. "Ofcourse Shaurya. You mean a lot to Pari. I have no problem", she quickly assented to his request. They stood silent unable to proceed further. Though it was none of her business, she asked , "So what are your plans for future?". "I am wrapping all my business here and remaining will be handled by Nikki. I need a break and am moving in with Ma", he informed her."A spiritual exile!", she mocked him. He laughed softly, "You could call it that way but it's more than that. All my life I ignored my mother and she suffered alone. But when I needed her the most, she left everything dear to her and stood beside me. Now its my turn to be a good son". Mehek knew he wanted to make amends with his mother and probably needed it as a reason to run away from everything. He held out a file towards Mehek, "it's my parting gift. I have transferred 50% of my wealth to your name. So White Chilies now belongs to you ". She shook her head, "I don't want it. I never wanted any of it". "Please don't deny it. This is the least I could do to compensate the pain I caused you", he begged her. She didn't want to argue further so she took it from him and walked towards Vivaan's car'. Shaurya lifted Pari and kissed her lovingly. He placed her on child seat near Mehek and fastened her seat belt. "Goodbye, Love", he uttered painfully. Mehek sat numb with her eyes fixed on him, unable to decipher whether he meant those words for Pari or herself.

Mehek was lost in thoughts while waiting in airport lobby. She felt terrible to leave Shaurya. Though she hated him, all good memories they shared in past played in her mind. She forced fed her brain with the agonizing deeds he had slapped on her but her heart simply refused to process it. "Mehek, this is wrong", Vivaan's words woke her. "What do you mean?", she asked rudely. "I agreed to play a part in this wicked plan of yours coz you convinced me that Shaurya will show his devil face. But he didn't and i don't think he ever will. He risked his life to save you and you are abandoning him. You are unjust", he spoke emotionally. "Ironic, isn't it?. You of all people talking about abandonment and unjust. A man who left Sonal when she was carrying your child. You simply went ahead and married another girl", she taunted him. He shook his head in dismay, "Me and Sonal, we never worked out. We mutually agreed to part ways. Besides I never knew about Pari else I would never have got married to Meera". Mehek smirked at him. She had a tough time tracing Vivaan who was happily married. When she found him, Mehek tactfully blackmailed him to help her gain Pari's custody. He loved his wife Meera and wanted to keep her away from his past. He was a gentleman and cared for Pari, still was afraid to hurt his wife. Hence he reluctantly agreed to all her plans. "Men are all the same. Bloody opportunists", she scolded him. "Not all are alike. You are blinded in rage to understand. Atleast try to understand Shaurya. How come you never probed why Rohit yielded just before the court hearing?" he asked her and she went blank. "You are not that dumb to figure out Shaurya's involvement there. I am sure he might have cut a deal with Rohit to give up the custody. Yet you chose to let your past spoil your present & future" , he spoke before walking away. 'Nobody knows Shaurya as I do. He will be back to make my life miserable. He can never stay away from me. This time when he choose to harm me I will be ready to ambush him', she thought.

Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months. But Shaurya never pursued Mehek as she expected. He was never distant as he kept in touch with Pari regularly. The video calls and emails he shared with Pari, was filled with love & care, yet he never tried to interfere in Mehek's life. Apart from formal pleasantries, they had zilch communication. Mehek was amazed at his transformation. He was no longer the suave & shrewd business man. He became calm & quite version of himself yet he looked vibrant & happy. She wanted to talk to him but his lack of interest discouraged her. She hid and listened to his conversation with Pari and was up-to-date about his new life. He had retrieved to a reclusive existence, helping his mother and dedicating his life for welfare of society.

Six months had passed away. Mehek became more and more restless. She had everything she ever wished for but she was unhappy. Her peace of mind was affected. Finally she decided to give him a call. "Hello Love. How's my Pari baby?", he answered it cheerfully. She cleared her throat, "Hmmm, Shaurya. It's me, Mehek". "Oh...Hi Mehek. I thought it was...", he tried to cover, "Is everything okay? Is Pari okay?", he was suddenly concerned. She felt sad that he wasn't happy to hear from her. "Yeah, all is well. Actually I wanted to check with you whether it be okay if we leave Pari with you for few days", she recited her well-practiced dialogue. "Ofcourse. I will be happy to care of her", he sounded cheerful but didn't ask any reason. Mehek was eager to make him jealous so went ahead. "Actually, me & Vivan, we have decided to take a couple vacation. Few days for just two of us", she told animatedly. She wanted him to make him realise that she was taking her relationship to next level. "Sure. You can leave Pari with me", he replied plainly. Mehek was taken aback. She expected him to be worried and anxious, atleast a bit confused but he sounded calm. They talked few more minutes about date and time before ending the conversation.

Shaurya was eagerly waiting at his home. He stayed in a small cottage with a bedroom, hall & kitchen. He rushed to the gate when he heard sound of the car. "Pari!!", he called out. Mehek got down from the rear seat. He still looked expectedly and asked, "How are you Mehek? Where is Pari? Has Vivaan also come with you?". "Actually, Vivaan's parents agreed to take care of Pari. So she didn't come", she lied. "Oh!", he was visibly disappointed. "I am sorry, Shaurya", she apologized earnestly. She realized he was hurt and it was difficult for her to watch him in pain. "You could have just told me over phone", he walked back. A moment before she had sympathized with him, yet now she was furious at him. He didn't show any trace of happiness to see her. She had worn ivory coloured designer saree, revealing her curves. Shaurya used to love her in saree but today he hardly noticed. "I thought it will be better if I come in person", she told, trying hard to control her temper, "Besides I thought you will be happy to see me". "Ofcourse I am glad to see you. Come in", he invited her with a sweet smile.

" Is she here?", a female voice came from inside. Mehek peered in while Shaurya replied, "No, Giselle". A lean & fair foreign lady came out with an anxious face. Shaurya explained her that Pari will not be joining them. "Mehek, this is Giselle. We work together in the ashram under my mother", Shaurya introduced her to Mehek, "And Giselle this is Mehek, my...my...", he fumbled. "His wife", Mehek completed firmly. Both Shaurya and Giselled were taken aback. "I thought you were divorced", Giselle asked him. "Not yet. I am still his better half", Mehek pushed him slightly and walked inside. She could hear him apologizing to Giselle. She moved to his bedroom and threw her bag on bed in anger. "Your new muse, I guess", she mocked him when he came in. "Mehek, what's wrong? Why are behaving weird?", he was truly concerned. "Oh, I am so sorry if I rattled your love nest. I was stupid to plan on sending Pari here", she was defensive. "Giselle is a good friend of mine. I wanted everything to be perfect for Pari and asked her help. That's it", he explained. "Wow! I believe you", she threw her hands in air, "I was wondering why you never bothered about me but now I know you have sufficient distractions. You will never change. Man-wh**e". "Mehek", he raised his voice, "you are crossing the limits. Don't try to mock my life style. Abstinence is the key word here. We stay away from any kind of indulgence to lead a simple worthwhile life", he tried hard to explain her. "Really? Let me be the judge of it", she spewed. Before he could make send, he felt her hands on his neck and then her lips on his lips. He was shocked but soon passion ruled over his reasoning. He was unable to resist but respond. When they broke apart, he looked guilty and she smirked. He walked backwards as she thread to him, until he hit the bed. She shoved him to his own bed. He groaned in frustration as she came over and showered his neck with love bites. He was fully turned on and knew he was losing himself to her. He quickly tumbled and pinned her under him. She tested his grip my turning her wrists but there was zero give. "What do you want, Mehek?", he growled. "You. Your suffering, your pain and your sorrow. I should feel happy to punish you, not miserable being away from you. You cannot ignore me anymore, Mr Shaurya Khanna. I will be beside you, to taunt you and to thrash you, until you pay for all your sins", she blurted out. "Be careful what you wish for Mehek Sharma", he warned. "Mrs Mehek Shaurya Khanna", she corrected and pulled him again to her. It was anything but gentle. She wanted to seal his claim on her. His reasons and resolutions were thrown out the window. He craved for her and she was famished. They were eager to possess eachother and couldn't indulge in further foreplays. But as he was about to take her, Mehek trembled with nervousness. Shaurya had many women after her but he was only one in her life. She felt like a timid maid, her boldness drained out facing the truth. "Shaurya,...I never...after that night with you... I am not ...I feel scared", she managed to convey. He kissed her softly, reassuring her and brushing off her concern. While she was lost in his warmth, he entered her swiftly and led her to heavenly experience.

Mehek laid on his chest, sated and drowsy. He rubbed her naked back gently in circular motions. "Mehek", he called her. "Hmmm?', she hummed too tired to open her eyes. "What about Vivaan?", he asked carefully. "I will handle him", she said carelessly. "Shaurya?", she called out. "No need to tell, Mehek. Pari will be our top priority.You already know that I love her as my own child. She will grow up as our daughter", he answered as if reading her thoughts. She hugged him tightly. "Mehek...", he fumbled. "Now what ?", she was frustrated as he was disturbing her comfort. "Are you afraid of future? Will you be scared to live with me?", he asked nervously. She lifted herself to meet his eyes, "I am not. Trust me, I am brave now. Infact you should be scared. I am here to punish and avenge you. I will fight you, in each and every corner of our life. I am unsure whether I love you or not but I cannot live apart from you, not anymore". "So does that mean we are good?", he asked again. "We are not good. Infact we are bad for one another. Unfortunately there no remedy but to stay together and work it out", she said plainly and laid back turning her back to him. "I guess I can live with that", he chuckled. "You have to", she too giggled. She was all set to slumber but his hand caressed her a**cheek and moved to her inner thighs. "I am tired", she said drowsily. But he didn't relent and moved above boldly. "I said sto...", her words were drowned in a moan when he bit her nape sensuously. She moved her head to give ample field for him and her womanhood dripped against his skilled fingers. Her body was on fire and she wanted to burn in passion he evoked. "Shaurya...please", she whimpered. "Tell me what you need? I promise I will fulfill. It's not me but you who has full power & control over my life, my heart and my body. Your wish will be always be my command", he declared to her. "Please...don't...stop", she moaned, "Please don't stop coz it feels so good". He smirked at her surrender and took her by surprise from behind. She cried out, unable to define thin line between pleasure and pain. She pulled his hair roughly to bring him closer to her even though he was skin on skin with her. Her inner walls quivered around him due to her release, pushing him further to spill his seed into her womb. He crushed her with a tight hug and gasped into her ears, "I love you, Mehek". She was too exhausted to think or comprehend and blurted out, "I love you too, Shaurya". Fatigue took over and she fell into deep slumber in his arms.

Shaurya caressed Mehek's delicate body while she slept peacefully. He achieved what he had desired. He pecked her forehead and covered her body with duvet, careful enough not to wake her. He caressed her cheek and smirked at her afterglow. He got up to wear his clothes and walked away.
